National Cheesecake Day Means Discounts, Dessert Debuts at ‘The Cheesecake Factory’

With Chocolate Eclair Day and National Junk Food Day quickly fading in the rear-view mirror, the arguably tastiest food holiday of all has arrived – National Cheesecake Day.

Although cheesecake can be enjoyed 365 days a year, July 30th marks the official “holiday” for the delicious dessert – believed to have originated in Greece over 4,000 years ago.

In honor of the “sweetest day of the year,” a restaurant sharing the name of the tasty treat is debuting a brand new dessert dish for a discounted price.

According to their Facebook page, The Cheesecake Factory will premier their Hershey’s Chocolate Bar Cheesecake in all of their 165 locations across the United States.

In addition, The Cheesecake Factory will also commemorate National Cheesecake Day by offering all dine-in guests the opportunity to enjoy any slice of cheesecake at half price – the discount only applies to one slice per guest.

“Hershey’s chocolate is pure and simple, and we are pleased to mix this classic confection with our legendary cheesecake to create our newest flavor,” said David Overton, Founder of The Cheesecake Factory. “We believe that the combination of Hershey’s chocolate and our creamy cheesecake will become an instant classic and look forward to introducing this wonderful new flavor on National Cheesecake Day.”

While nothing beats free cheesecake, the half-off discount is certainly enough to lure this old hermit out of his hole to enjoy a slice. What about you?
