iPhone 6 Rumors And Leaks May Be Stopped If Apple’s Chinese Task Force Works

iPhone 6 rumors and leaks may be a thing of the past if Apple has their way. The tech giant has reportedly hired a Chinese task force to try and stop information from getting out to the press before Apple wants it to be known.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, if you compare the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S against the Samsung Galaxy S5, Apple wins for durability — although the new smartphone is said to be quite an improvement over the Galaxy S4. Apple rumors also claimed the iPhone 6 release date would be in the first half of 2014, although other reports claim the iPhone 6 launch is likelier in the fall of 2014. The iPhone 6 screen might come in two sizes, similar to how Apple launched the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S simultaneously. Already there have been leaked photos showing an iPhone 6 case with a 4.7 inch screen, although the larger variant is hoped to be around 5.5 inches and launched later in the holidays.

PC Advisor has pulled together a list of all the known iPhone 6 rumors:

  • iPhone 6 Release date: September 2014
  • iPhone 6 Screen sizes: 4.7- to 5.5-inches (or both)
  • iPhone 6 Price: Same as existing iPhone 5S for 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB
  • iPhone 6 possible new features:
    • Up to 128GB internal storage or expandable storage
    • Better camera
    • New iOS 8 operating system
    • Heart rate EarPods
    • NFC chip
    • A8 processor
    • Wireless charging
    • Will work with Apple’s rumored iWatch
    • Sapphire glass and LiquidMetal design

It’s information like that which Apple does not want everyone to know. Unfortunately for the company a lot of information has sent to be sent out to the third party companies in the supply chain who produce all the parts and then assemble them. These Chinese companies employ thousands of workers and it’s quite difficult to keep all of them quiet.

Apple insider Sonny Dickson has been receiving leaked iPhone 6 photos in the past but now he says Apple is cracking down on the leaks:

“Apple had asked Chinese authorities to catch those who are trying to leak i6. There are about 200 security officers trying to catch those who dare to sell i6 accessories.”

Of course, at this point trying to stop the Apple iPhone 6 rumors is like closing the barn door after all the horses took off ages ago. Assuming the leaks are correct then we already know most of the iPhone 6 specs although there may be some surprises that Apple has in store for us in order to catch up to the Android smartphone market.
