TiVo Finally Hints: Android and iPhone Apps On The Way

It looks like TiVo is FINALLY getting ready to reveal iPhone and Android Apps for their popular DVR service. In the most recent issue of CEPro’s magazine a full-page ad says that the company is developing apps for both products, although exact features and information is still lacking.

Currently TiVo only offers an iPad app, although they have been promising other mobile apps for a while now.

With DirectTV, Dish Network and various cable providers offering their own apps the idea of adding mobile functions is an important move for the company and is expected to eventually bring with it mobile internet video streaming, media sharing and other functions that can help TiVo gain the upper hand against their competitors.
