The Hulk Hogan WWE return in 2014 may have been confirmed for WrestleMania 30 if the rumors are to be believed.
We just know Vince McMahon wants WrestleMania 30 to be special in many ways. Some people believe, or hope, he’ll show up completely unannounced and start slamming bodies into the mat. But other rumors claimed the Hulk was going to be announced alongside the launch of the WWE Network, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.
Whatever the truth really is, this is what the Hulk Hogan WWE rumors claim:
“There is now a deal in place for Hulk Hogan to return to WWE and he’s expected to sign any time now…. Hogan will be appearing at WrestleMania XXX in some fashion.”
He hasn’t been seen on TV for professional wrestling since 2007, so Hulk Hogan’s WWE return would have to be special. There’s many potential WWE story lines that could take place. Ultimate Warrior VS Hulk Hogan makes the most sense for a nostalgia battle since the last time they fought Hogan lost. But the Hulk also had a parking spot interview where he said he doesn’t hate the Ultimate Warrior anymore, and that he wishes him well for being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame:
“He’s a good choice for the Hall of Fame. He’s a good man.”
Unfortunately, the primary limitation might be the Hulk’s health. Previous rumors also stated that WWE officials believed he couldn’t pass a physical even though he’s only age 60. For example, Mae Young was in the WWE at age 90 right up until her untimely death, but the Ultimate Warrior says at age 54 he could handle a match but not necessarily a Royal Rumble. Assuming the rumors about his health are true, it’s possible Hogan may show up and make a splash but not necessarily be a main event.
If Hulk Hogan’s WWE return in 2014 does involve WrestleMania 30, would you like to see Hogan VS Ultimate Warrior or some other match up?
