During the second term of Donald Trump, we have seen less of Melania. She says she splits her time between New York and Palm Beach so she can stay with her son and come back to see Trump.

Many people have questioned her absence and the distance she maintains from Donald. However, a body language expert claims that the distance has done them good. This change in their relationship has led them to appreciate quality time together.

Melania has kept a low profile so far, only appearing in 2-3 public events with Trump per month. She skips them as she wants. Like she said, she has the right to say yes or no to things. Her distance from Trump also comes with the fact that they have different opinions. For instance, their opinions on border family separation and abortion access are different. Some insiders say that they maintain a different lifestyle and even sleep in different rooms.

Donald Trump‘s biographer, Michael Wolff, has said that she keeps a careful distance from him. At the same time, the white house has denied it. Even her absence during Trump’s hush money trial was the talk of the town.

According to a body language expert, Judi James, this so-called careful distance between the couple had worked out in their favour. They get to enjoy the freedom and work on their own career endeavors. They have been successful on their own. Melania comes off as a powerful, strong woman, too. We see her in blazers and power suits often.

Plus, her white house portrait is in a strong pose, unlike a woman standing behind her husband. James says the change in their body language has been seismic. It’s new, and we can observe it all. They have a less is more approach to it.

Earlier, we used to see her not kissing Donald or removing her hand when he tried to hold it on several occasions. Now, the two hold hands whenever they are in public. Even Trump is very courteous and respectful when he’s with her. Melania’s body language around Trump is less guarded and more approachable now.

They are a power couple that is ruling from a distance but comes together when it matters the most. Even at the Pope’s funeral, the two were talking and smiling. They were holding hands during the event. The duo also looked happy during the National Day of Prayer. They were seen having their own conversations and laughing. Whatever tactile and careful distance they have between each other, it seems to be working.

They just have to stay amicable and keep doing what they are doing in public so people don’t talk about their divorce rumors. Some people say their outdoor behavior is rehearsed, but it cannot fool a body language expert.
