Lewis Hamilton Shuts Down ‘Private Life’ Questions After Kim Kardashian Date At Super Bowl LX

Published on: February 12, 2026 at 7:19 PM ET

As Lewis Hamilton stonewalls questions about Kim Kardashian in Bahrain, his very public Super Bowl date and cameo in her social media suggest this “private” romance is already center stage.

Lewis Hamilton had just climbed out of the car when the question everyone wanted to ask finally reached him — and hit a brick wall.

It was late afternoon in Bahrain, the desert sun slipping behind the grandstands, and the seven-time world champion was doing the usual pre-season shuffle through cameras and dictaphones. Only this time, the noise around Mercedes’ pace was being drowned out by a far more tabloid-friendly storyline: Lewis Hamilton’s very public “hard launch” with Kim Kardashian at Super Bowl LX.

He saw it coming. He shut it down anyway.

In his post-session video diary for Sky Sports, veteran F1 reporter Ted Kravitz admitted he had “chickened out” of asking Lewis Hamilton about Kardashian during their one-on-one chat. Somebody else in the written press didn’t.

“I can tell you he was asked that in the written press,” Kravitz told viewers, letting them in on the bit everyone really wanted. “He was asked, ‘Did you enjoy your company more than the game at the Super Bowl?’ and he said, ‘It’s my private life. I’m not talking about that.’”

No smirk. No coy tease. Just a line in the sand.

If you’ve followed Lewis Hamilton for any length of time, this is familiar territory. The man will happily talk about tire degradation, racial justice, and veganism. Ask about who he’s dating, and the visor snaps down. Over the years, that policy has survived rumors linking it to Nicki Minaj, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, and — in a twist that makes his latest romance especially spicy — Kendall Jenner, Kim’s younger sister.

Yet there is something particularly jarring about hearing “It’s my private life” from someone who just took that life on a date to the most-watched sporting event in America.

Whatever Lewis Hamilton chooses to say in Bahrain, the pictures from California are doing their own talking.

At Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, as the New England Patriots dismantled the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium, cameras in the VIP suites found their secondary main event: Kim Kardashian, 45, and Lewis Hamilton, 41, sitting side by side, leaning in, laughing. The body language did the heavy lifting.

This wasn’t a coy rumor fed to gossip blogs. It was a full-screen, soft-focus moment in front of more than 100 million television viewers. Social media did the rest.

Clips of Kim Kardashian smiling up at Lewis Hamilton, hand brushing his arm, circulated faster than any replay of a touchdown. For a man who has spent years insisting on a moat around his romantic life, choosing the Super Bowl as a backdrop is either bold, reckless, or a little bit of both.

And it’s not as if this sprang from nowhere. Their friends-to-something-more arc has been quietly building in the background, on the other side of the Atlantic.

According to the US Sun, Lewis Hamilton and Kardashian recently holed up at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds — the sort of place you book when you want luxury and anonymity, in that order. There, they reportedly enjoyed a couple’s massage and a discreet dinner. From there, the tour moved to London’s Rosewood Hotel, then on to Paris.

“Kim and Lewis have such intense working schedules, so they’re keen to spend as much time together as possible,” a source told the paper. “Right now, they’re inseparable and are fitting their dates around Kim’s work commitments.”

That context makes Lewis Hamilton’s “I’m not talking about that” both understandable and slightly absurd. The relationship is not a secret; it’s a Netflix-ready subplot rolling out in real time. But he would clearly prefer to keep the commentary one-way — outwards from their curated feeds, not inwards from the paddock.

If this pairing once sounded like a fever dream from a particularly online teenager — the sport’s most famous driver and the queen of reality television — the emotional logic of it is starting to make more sense.

On the Khloé In Wonder Land podcast, recorded before Super Bowl LX, Kardashian laid out, with unusual clarity, what she wants next after Kanye West and a parade of high-profile misfires. “Good morals and values, a calm person, dependable,” she told her sister. “Takes accountability. I think that’s my No. 1 thing.”

On paper, Lewis Hamilton fits that wishlist almost too neatly. Calm under pressure is literally the brand. The accountability line could have been plucked from one of his post-race debriefs, where he routinely shoulders blame with the ease of a man used to speaking for a team.

For a woman who has spent years in the gravitational pull of chaos, a data-obsessed, disciplined Brit who wakes up thinking about lap times and legacy has a certain appeal.

Kardashian has also been at pains to stress she hasn’t been secretly dating all year, insisting her focus has been on her four children — North, Psalm, Saint, and Chicago — and studying law. That makes the timing of this new relationship feel less like a fling and more like an intentional shift.

And whether Lewis Hamilton likes it or not, he is already bleeding into the Kardashian universe.

Earlier this week, Kim and her sisters posted an Instagram video recreating the “Titanic Challenge,” riffing on the bow scene from Titanic. Amid the chaos — shrieks, giggles, the carefully controlled spontaneity of a family that turned its living room into a billion-dollar set — viewers caught something else: a distinctly British voice in the background urging them to “push away.”

Fans swarmed the comments. “Am I the only one who can hear Lewis’s laugh?” one wrote. They weren’t.

He may not be talking about his private life, but his laugh is suddenly part of the soundtrack.

There is a tension at the heart of all this that Hamilton can’t quite finesse away with a brisk “no comment.”

On one side, a driver in the twilight of a record-breaking career, fiercely protective of the bits of himself that aren’t broadcast. On the other, a woman whose entire empire is built on turning the personal into content, who understands that a date at Super Bowl LX is more than a night out — it’s a narrative beat.

For now, Lewis Hamilton is trying to run both worlds in parallel: laser‑focused in Bahrain, monosyllabic in the media pen; relaxed and tactile in a Super Bowl suite, laughing off‑camera in Kardashian Instagram videos. He has drawn a boundary with words. The question is whether the pictures will respect it.

If history is any guide, they won’t. But for the moment, at least, Lewis Hamilton is doing what he does best: defending his position, eyes forward, refusing to lift — even as the circus around him gets louder.
