Catelynn Lowell gave birth to her second daughter, Novalee Reign, in January of this year, and although she lost 20 pounds since giving birth, she recently discovered her wedding dress was too small. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Catelynn Lowell was seen trying on the gown during Monday night’s episode of Teen Mom OG . When it didn’t fit, Lowell was told she would need to drop four dress sizes .
When Catelynn Lowell arrived back home to tell her fiance, Tyler Baltierra, the news of her necessary weight loss, he was surprised that his wife-to-be would have to lose so much weight, but encouraged her to do so. He even suggested she join a gym, and appeared to be a bit pushy.
During the episode an in the hours after, Baltierra received tons of backlash for his weight criticism, which he quickly addressed on Twitter.

During the Teen Mom OG: After Show , via a May 20 report by Wetpaint Entertainment , Catelynn Lowell looked back on her weight loss struggles, and how her fiancé’s pressures have affected her.
“At first I used to get really defensive of it, but he’s like, ‘Well, I just want you to feel good about yourself when you’re walking down the aisle.’ Tyler’s super supportive about my weight loss. He encourages me a lot to go to the gym and do things that he knows I want to do. He’s really good at helping me make better decisions, as in when we go grocery shopping … He’s really supportive of me. He’ll do anything to help me succeed in what I want to do.
The only thing I really told Tyler was I just don’t like it when we’re at a restaurant and he’s like, ‘This salad looks good,’ and I told him, ‘That makes me not want to eat the damn salad. Now I’m just gonna eat a freakin’ cheeseburger because you told me to eat a salad.’ “
Catelynn Lowell is just months away from her and Baltierra’s wedding, so it’s no wonder she wants to be in good shape, and comfortable in her own skin, and good for Baltierra for encouraging her to get to that place. While his delivery may be off to some at times, he only wants what’s best for Catelynn Lowell.
