The Apple iPad is one of the company’s most innovative product lines and has made many news headlines in the past. Having first been announced by the legendary Steve Jobs in January, 2010, the Apple iPad achieved outstanding sales numbers in the first years of existence.

However, Apple iPad sales have reportedly been down in the past year. According to Business Insider , the percentage of Apple iPads sold in the last quarter was 23 percent less, as compared to the same period last year.

Apparently, sales have been on a decline for the past eight quarters.

Now, however, Apple has built a new micro site for the Apple iPad line, and it features an opening statement that reads as follows.

“Everything changes with iPad iPad can change the way you do things every day. Take on a new project, pick up a new skill, or start a new hobby. We put together some of our favorite apps and ideas to help you get started.”

It also features a video, which strives to highlight the usefulness of the Apple iPad in everyday life. It does this by portraying people using the Apple iPad in different aspects of life, ranging from learning to cooking.

It also suggests a number of Apple iPad apps that can be used in different day-to-day tasks. The Cook App, is, for example, portrayed as a great app for people who love cooking.

According to Macrumors , the company has been trying out different ways of advertising the Apple iPad in a bid to entice customers into buying one to boost sales.

Some of the past campaign themes for the Apple iPad, as listed on the site, include, “Start Something New,” “Why You’ll Love an iPad,” and “Your Verse.”

They were tailored by the company for the Apple iPad between 2013 and 2014.

On to the reasons behind the low sales, analysts, according to Business Insider , point to the less frequent updates as being one of them and preference for the now bigger iPhone.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, reportedly admitted last year that Apple iPad sales were being cannibalized by the success of both the iPhone and MacBook.

This is as reported by Techrunch . The latest Apple iPad products are the Apple iPad Air 2, and the Apple iPad Mini 3, which were launched in October 22, 2014.

Currently, numerous technology news sites are pointing to rumors that a new Apple iPad device, dubbed the iPad Pro , is in the works.
