Katy Perry and John Mayer have split up yet again. The two musicians have decided to end their relationship after getting back together earlier this summer. Katy and John were last spotted at Disneyland California on Memorial Day and at a Grateful Dead concert on the Fourth of July.
It looks like Perry’s relationship with Mayer is “Hot and Cold.” A source close to the couple told E! News that Perry and Mayer are calling it quits for what may be the fourth time. It’s the second time this year that the two have called it quits. It’s unclear what caused Perry and Mayer to break up, but they’re known to rekindle their relationship, so a reunion is likely in the near future.
However, a recent report on Hollywood Life claims that “ trust issues ” and “distance” are what caused Katy and John to end their relationship in the past. Katy is busy performing and traveling the world on her Prismatic World Tour. It’s obvious that the distance makes their relationship next to impossible.
Katy Perry and John Mayer previously called it quits back in March 2015. The couple reportedly broke up due to insecurities and trust issues. Perry was reportedly having trust issues, while Mayer had a hard time dealing with the lack of attention in their relationship. An inside source even explained to Radar Online what caused the yo-yo couple to split .
“Katy and John reconnected once she had a break in her Prismatic World Tour. So, for those few months they had a great time, pretending that it would last — and of course it didn’t.”
It looks like Perry’s schedule is just too full for John Mayer. She just released her new fragrance Mad Potion , and on Wednesday, July 22, Perry performed at a magic show to promote her latest fragrance. She was also recently crowned as one of Forbes’ highest-paid female celebrities, so it’s safe to say that she’s too busy for a relationship at this time.
Katy Perry and John Mayer began their on-again, off-again relationship in 2012, as previously reported via the Inquisitr . It was around this time that Perry’s friendship with Taylor Swift started to fizzle. Swift’s “Dear John” ballad and Mayer’s womanizing reputation wasn’t enough to scare Perry away.
In 2013, the musicians collaborated for a song called “Who You Love.” The music video featured Katy and John kissing and bull-riding together. The couple even went on Good Morning America to promote their new song and music video.
