The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library’s first look has been released, and fans are quick to point out one key visual issue. Eric Trump recently posted an AI-generated video on X showing a huge skyscraper with the name “Trump” displayed on it.
The video then shows a U.S. flag on the building, and this is where some on social media pointed out extra stars.

The U.S. flag has 50 stars to represent the 50 states of the Union. However, in the video, the flag had fifty-six stars, as noted by someone on Threads. The comments under that post also acknowledged that, and some offered their own interpretations, as reported by Atlanta Black Star.
One blamed AI for this, commenting, “But AI is supposed to replace humans. Although some Americans think we have more than 50 stars on the flag anyways…”
Many think this was intentional and in line with Trump’s past annexation threats. “It is 1000% intentional. Have you read their National Security Strategy? It declares dominance over the Western Hemisphere, and their manifesto for getting there. Project 2025 rolled out the foundations. This is now the start of the next phase,” one wrote.
Another posted, “No accident. Canada. Greenland. Venezuela. Cuba. Mexico. Panama.”
Trump previously told reporters, “We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security.” Former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, also claimed that Trump wants “a total collapse of the Canadian economy because that will make it easier to annex us,” as reported by The BBC.
In the Thread post, someone also observed that the flag looked upside down.
Recently, the president himself spoke to reporters in the Oval Office about this massive project.

While talking about his library, he also took a dig at Barack Obama’s library, stating, “Well, it’s a museum or a library, it’s presidential.”
He added, “But I wouldn’t start it til I’m out of office. I don’t believe in building libraries or museums. It’s really like the Barack Hussein Obama one in Chicago, and not a good location, and a very unattractive building that’s seriously late and seriously over budget.”
Trump had previously mocked the construction of the building, according to reports by The Hill. He had stated, “He’s building his library in Chicago,” in a meeting.
There, Trump claimed, “It’s a disaster. And he said something to the effect, ‘I only want DEI, I only want woke,’” adding, “He wants woke people to build it. Well, he got woke people, and they have massive cost overruns; the job has stopped.”
