Critics have called out Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for reportedly overruling a U.S. Army probe. An investigation was underway after two AH-64 Apache attack helicopters hovered near Kid Rock’s Nashville home. While the probe was ongoing, the pilots were suspended, but no longer, as Hegseth recently revealed.
Hegseth made an announcement that seemingly irked many political analysts and critics on social media. First, he thanked the musician and then tagged the U.S. Army’s account on X.
Thank you @KidRock.@USArmy pilots suspension LIFTED.
No punishment. No investigation.
Carry on, patriots. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/Zqhv1Zx1iG

Hegseth declared, “@USArmy pilots suspension LIFTED.” He further added, “No punishment. No investigation.” Lastly, he encouraged the pilots to “carry on.” Hegseth’s remarks triggered a wave of responses from several political analysts and critics.
One critic wrote, “You’re a disgrace…” Another individual scrutinized Hegseth’s actions, highlighting the alleged mistake in letting the pilots off without holding them accountable. The user pointed out, “They broke military protocol…”
The critic then added that Army personnel who are undisciplined are a sign of “undisciplined leaders.” Lastly, the commenter explained, “Your approval of that only serves to show that it is true.”
So, there are no rules in the military anymore? That’s your message to our men and women in uniform? That’s your message to America?
America is in danger as long as you have authority over anyone.

Another critic stated, “Pete Hegseth is openly encouraging service members to break the law.” Political analyst Ben Crockett asked, “So we’re just canceling standard military safety investigations by tweet now?”
Crockett added, “Bypassing accountability and airspace compliance for a political stunt is a complete breakdown of protocol.” Another political analyst who is a staff writer from The Atlantic, Tom Nichols, wrote, “Of course, he overruled the army. Because helicopters are toys.”
Former Democrat Daniel Ackers suggested, “They should be court-martialed, and you should face treason charges. The military shouldn’t treat people differently based on their politics.”
So are you allowing the military to just decide how they want to use the equipment? What if someone wants to go to T Swift’s house? Is that okay or no? Discipline is discipline. This seems really shortsighted

Similarly, many political analysts and critics shared their thoughts on Hegseth’s recent declaration in a U.S. Army probe. The alleged scrutiny against the Secretary comes as a result of the probe into the pilots’ actions.
Recently, Kid Rock posted a viral video of two of the previously mentioned choppers hovering close to the pool of his Nashville mansion. While one seemed to be in an attack mode, the other was spotted zooming by.

The video was posted on X as an attempt to roast California Governor Gavin Newsom. The singer claimed that Newsom didn’t have the “respect” he does, highlighting the choppers that briefly hovered above his home.
Shortly after the video went viral, a U.S. Army spokesperson confirmed that there was going to be a probe. This is considering that both pilots had reportedly broken military protocol and were suspended until the investigation was complete.
Since Hegseth’s declaration of the pilots’ fate, there has not yet been an official confirmation on the matter. Details about whether or not the pilots have been truly pardoned from disciplinary action are anticipated.
