Recent retaliatory attacks by Iran following joint military strikes by United States and Israel as part of Operation Epic Fury have kept tensions dangerously high in the Middle East. This has also sparked discussions about the possibility of World War III.
At such a time, it has come to the fore that tech multi-billionaire Elon Musk had made predictions about the possibility of World War III a while back.
The video of his claims is going viral again in the wake of the current situation in the Middle East. February 28 marked the start of Operation Epic Fury, where the joint United States-Israel strikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with several other top officials of his regime.
According to Musk’s prediction, a third world war may be imminent. Notably, he made this claim before President Donald Trump’s attack on Iran. The billionaire probed about the possibility of World War III and space travel.

The Tesla CEO said, “After WW3, who knows what’s left after World War III? So, there’s arguably this race between do we become a multi-planet species or WW3?” Furthermore, he added that if World War III happens before space travel, then humans may never get to go to another planet due to the destruction.
In an earlier interview, Musk also noted how Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be the reason for World War III in case a particular country has better technology than as compared to another. Many people on social media seemed to agree with Musk, while others had their own theories about World War III.

One X user wrote, “If Elon is saying that, I agree. All the ingredients for a massive conflict are everywhere. How to keep WW3 at bay for another 30 yrs? We need time to be able to leave Earth, and resupply.” Another commented, “Mars or WWIII? Elon, you can only control one of these. Stay focused. Don’t let politics get in the way of this race – the survival of humanity relies on you!”
A third one wrote, “Unfortunately, with our current technology, reaching another habitable planet is effectively impossible, yet a third world war caused by human ignorance feels far more likely.” Pointing out the possible destruction after a war of such a scale, one user stated, “There won’t be anything after WW3.”
So far, the war has been limited to the Middle East, and Trump is determined to end it in four weeks, even though it seems that he doesn’t have a proper plan. Despite this, considering the current situation, World War III warnings and predictions are hard to ignore.
