Since the unfortunate killing of Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk has often been criticized by the public for how she handled his death and made constant public appearances thereafter. In an interesting turn of events, Candace Owens disclosed the audio of a conference call, where the widow can be heard discussing merch sales and attendance of Kirk’s memorial in Phoenix, Arizona.
In the most recent episode of Candace Owens’ YouTube podcast, she leaked the audio of an internal conference call that took place just days after the killing.
In the audio clip, Erika could be heard giggling and discussing with the staff the numbers and headcount they managed to attract in the “event of the century.”

Erika praised the team members of TPUSA, who were putting in 20-hour shifts as they grieved the “loss of my husband.” She urged the employees to put aside their personal differences and used her husband’s death to share a perspective on how short life can be.
Erika said, “If you guys have any beef with each other from the past or have any issues, please put it to rest. Like, my husband’s dead. Like, I’m not trying to be morbid, but he’s dead, and it puts into perspective of how short life is.”
After the clip concluded, Owens claimed that everything about it felt “off-putting”. She called out Erika for discussing “numbers and metrics” merely days after her husband’s death. The influencer claimed that her “not to be morbid” comment was something that she personally would not be able to “utter”.
Owens claimed that Erika’s words indicate that the latter moved on pretty quickly to the “acceptance phase”. Despite acknowledging the fact that everyone grieves differently, Owens stated that she imagined that the widow would be more “upset”.
The influencer noted that while Erika Kirk, as the new CEO, was expected to address the elephant in the room in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s public assassination, it also felt “very strange” for her to laugh during the call.
A separate clip of the leaked Zoom call dated September 16, 2025, was shared on social media. In the video, Erika looked delighted with the reaction emojis she received and expressed her amusement, claiming that’s how her spouse would have reacted to it.
During the call, Kirk stated that she was heartbroken and acknowledged how much the TPUSA staff loved her conservative activist husband.

She emphasized that “Everyone grieves differently,” during the call. Even though the meeting had some emotional moments, she described Turning Point as a family that would continue being “humble” and working hard. She concluded by ensuring, “We’re all going to be okay.”
As per the Daily Mail, Owens’ spokesperson claimed that Erika had wrongfully “fired employees, without cause, after moving management to press them about their perceived loyalty to her.” This allegedly led to the influencer publicly attacking Erika.
