According to HuffPost, on Sunday, Donald Trump posted a fabricated, Wikipedia-style graphic on Truth Social, labeling himself “Acting President of Venezuela” as of January 2026.
The post appeared to portray him as the country’s de facto leader and quickly drew public scrutiny. Netizens flocked to the post with creative reactions. One user wrote, “Authoritarian megalomania alert.” Another wrote, “Completely insane.” Many others mocked him over what they described as his approach to leadership.

Following Maduro’s removal, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez was expected to serve as interim leader. However, Trump publicly stated that the United States would effectively run the country.
This came after “Operation Absolute Resolve” under Trump’s leadership, claiming “he’s living in a fantasy world.”Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores, from their Caracas residence on January 3, 2026.

The image, posted by official White House social media accounts, appeared as Catholics around the world mourned the death of Pope Francis, who passed away after being unwell for a long time on 21 April 2025. He attended the funeral of the late bishop in Italy along with First Lady Melania Trump.
