As Donald Trump’s war against drug cartels keeps getting intense, critics and foreign leaders have expressed their concerns about the consequences. France’s foreign minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, has already warned that the operation violates international law and poses risks to French territories in the Caribbean.

Interestingly, the operation has also been tied to a 248-year-old prophecy that political observers believe is soon to come true. We are talking about a long-circulated legend about George Washington’s doomsday prophecy.

The First President of the United States reportedly received a chilling prophecy at Valley Forge. According to the legend, Washington encountered an angelic figure during the winter of 1777. The angel warned him about three major crises that the United States would face. Those who believe in the legend say that the first two events were the American Revolution and the Civil War. Both events match the prophecy’s description.

According to a report, the prophecy stated that the third event would be an invasion by “hordes of armed men” crossing the sea, threatening America’s security.

Since September, the U.S. military’s Southern Command has gone on a murder spree following the Trump administration’s illegal orders. Congress must exercise its oversight role, put an end to these air strikes, and hold those responsible accountable.https://t.co/Czgght72tk

The centuries-old prophecy has returned to the conversation among history and politics enthusiasts, as Donald Trump has increased the U.S. military movement near South America.

It all began in August this year, when the U.S. began deploying Navy warships in the Caribbean. A few weeks later, an airstrike on a vessel from Venezuela was orchestrated. The U.S. defended its military operation by stating that the vessels were operated by “narcoterrorists” to smuggle narcotics into the U.S.

The operation didn’t end there. Instead, it amplified. Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, stated that the operations against drug cartels in Venezuela would continue. As of November, at least 83 people have been reportedly killed in nearly 21 strikes that have destroyed 22 boats.

Donald Trump even called Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela, “one of the largest narco traffickers in the world.”

Political experts and human rights activists have argued that the killings were illegal under U.S. and international law. As the military operation under the Trump administration continues to expand, France’s foreign minister raised objections, citing risks to French territories in the Caribbean.

🇺🇸 🇫🇷 #France‘s foreign minister Jean-Noël Barrot criticised “military operations” in the Caribbean at a G7 meeting on Tuesday, as the deployment of a #US aircraft carrier strike group escalated an arms buildup in the region.

However, Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, dismissed France’s concerns as he said, “I don’t think that the European Union gets to determine what international law is. They certainly don’t get to determine is how the United States defends its national security.”

He stated that the US has every right to deploy military in the region and take action as they are fighting “organized criminal narco-terrorists.”

Rubio delivered a harsh response to EU countries that questioned the legality of strikes on drug-trafficking vessels:

“I don’t think the European Union has the right to define what international law is. And it certainly has no right to decide how the United States should defend… https://t.co/GSRkVbjrYq pic.twitter.com/aZPDNyLjbX

As the Trump administration’s actions cause unrest within and outside the country, George Washington’s prophecy returns to discussion. Recently, Podcaster Ryan Bledsoe talked about the prophecy and told his audience, “George Washington was visited by the lady. This is a text you can read about in the Library of Congress. This is a real event.”

He emphasized that the vision described “a threat of war in a future time that would be so great with powers from the east crossing the sea.”

Trump’s aggressive approach in the Caribbean has left people worried that it could eventually escalate military tensions in the region and foreign forces from the east could threaten nation’s security.

However, it’s also important to note that it’s just folklore and not a documented fact.
