The speculation about Donald Trump having dementia has been reignited, thanks to one of his family members this time. Mary Trump, the President’s niece, who is known for criticizing him, is now raising concerns about his health. She claims that her uncle is now “weaker than ever.”
Widespread speculation about the President showing possible signs of dementia has been ongoing. Several experts have given their two cents on the subject while siding with the speculation.
Netizens have endlessly claimed that the President’s recent behavior suggests that he is headed towards mental and cognitive decline. Trump is the oldest person to be inaugurated as the President in U.S. history, which has only added to the worry.
Mary Trump, who is the President’s niece, has now spoken up about the claims regarding his alleged declining mental health. Mary claimed that the 79-year-old is growing “weaker than ever.” She also went on to note that he “doesn’t even seem to know where he is” often.
She went on to claim that her uncle’s mental decline comes while “aides are going rogue” and “global trust is collapsing.” Earlier this week, she also labelled the President as a “feckless old man.” Mary also labelled her uncle’s behavior as “erratic” and “unserious.”

Netizens only seem to be siding with the theory that Trump is already heading towards mental decline. “I genuinely do think Trump is in a state of severe cognitive decline. He’s always been a flip-flopper, but the constant reversals and un-reversals of basically all his policies is now extreme and highly erratic,” a user wrote.
Dr. John Gartner, a psychologist and former professor at Johns Hopkins, assessed the President’s behaviour recently. “We are going to have a ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ White House,” the expert claimed. He went on to allege that employees are going to have to “wheel” the President around soon.
He went on to predict that the situation is going to be “absurd” and “farce to tragedy.” Dr.Gartner also compared how articulate Trump was in clips from the 1980s starkly contrasting to his recent speeches. The psychologist notes how dementia makes an indiviudal’s “baseline and function” deteriorate.

“That’s very important because one of the areas that we can most visibly see this is in his verbal productions,” he pointed out. The expert recalled how Trump could speak in “polished paragraphs” previously, which he cannot manage now.
Dr.Gartner claims that the President is showing clear signs of phonemic paraphasia, which causes a person’s vocabulary to deteriorate. He also pointed out how Trump frequently forgets an English word and substitutes it with a “non-word that is easier to pronounce that sounds like it.”
