The political situation in the US is extremely tense right now after Donald Trump decided to attack Iran. With threats of Iran attacking America back, and the MAGA highups clearly divided on Trump’s decision of getting involved in the whole situation, JD Vance has come forward to make things even worse.
While he had made it clear that he supports Trump and whatever he decides about the Iran-Israel situation, his recent post on X, which was an attempt to be humorous about the whole thing, has spectacularly backfired.

On June 24, Vance posted on X, “I wonder if other VPs had as much excitement as I do.” Now, it is clear what he was talking about in that post and given the situation America is currently in, following Trump’s attack on Iran, the post was bound to not be taken well on social media.
The comments section of Vance’s post made it clear that no one was laughing along with the joke he was trying to make. One user commented, “Yea nothing gets the blood pumping like wars breaking out, inflation climbing, and the global economy teetering.” Other people also went on with the criticism and taunting as one user said, “You’re the most irrelevant VP in history, People even call this the Trump /Musk administration.”
The comment section also contained people commenting on Vance’s infamous eyeliner style and also reference to the strange rumor that he has s-x with a couch. References to former VP Mike Pence was also made, who also suffered the consequences of the President’s actions.
With Trump already in the middle of a lot of fire because of his decision to get involved in the Iran-Israel situation, Vance’s tweet might now damage his relationship with the President. While the two never shared a bromance like Trump did with Elon Musk, Vance has always stood by him, even if it was clear at some instances that the President did not care much about him.

It should be noted here that Trump attacking Iran might also be considered as unconstitutional, which makes the situation even more complicated. As netizens closed in on Vance because of his mindless tweet, it also shows what the country thinks about the actions of its President.
The MAGA higher ups are reportedly split over the Iran-Israel issues and several old allies of Trump had advised him against getting involved. However, the President clearly did not pay any heed to their words and now it remains to be seen how bad the consequences are.
