Donald Trump has never missed any opportunities to criticize Gavin Newsom. The President definitely dislikes the California Governor more than the usual democrat, and we just place why. Netizens, on the other hand, are convinced they’ve figured out the reason behind the unexplainable hate, and it has something to do with Melania.
Trump has gone as far as to give the California Governor a new nickname by calling him “Newscum.” In more recent news, the two clashed over the protests being carried out against the ICE in Los Angeles.
The President took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to declare how he had deployed 4,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles to intervene in the protests. Newsom was quick to disapprove the move and revealed that the state of California had sued to counter the decision.
Trump went on to call for the California governor himself to be arrested amid the protests. “Donald Trump is behaving like a tyrant, not a President,” Gavin Newsom said in an official statement.
Nobody has been able to tell exactly why Trump is so overly critical of the Governor of California until now. Netizens are now claiming that Trump’s dislike of Newsom might stem from the envy he is feeling.
Trump and Melania had visited Los Angeles at the beginning of the year. The President and First Lady, who were there to see the havoc caused by the wildfires, were greeted by Newsom. Netizens couldn’t help but notice how warmly Melania greeted the California Governor.

“Remember when trump and Melania showed up to California after the LA wildfires, Newsom met them at the airport, and the media saw how tired trump looked and Melania was all smiles around Newsom!? Kinda like with PM Trudeau,” an X user wrote.
“Gavin Newsom admitted that Melania told him ‘Save Me’ when he met with her and Donald on the runway a few weeks ago,” a second quipped. The jokes come after much speculation about Melania and Donald Trump’s marriage being on the rocks. The First Lady has been noticeably absent from the White House ever since the beginning of her husband’s second term.

In the few appearances that she has made this year, people have noticed how distant and physically unaffectionate she the former model. She has also reportedly decided to prioritize her son Barron and spend most of her time staying with him in New York.
Several other netizens also think that Trump’s dislike towards Newsom is motivated by the jealousy he feels towards him.
