Not many people know this, but Prince Harry wasn’t the only love of Duchess Meghan Markle. Before she met the man who changed her life, Meghan Markle was married to film producer Trevor Engelson, who was five years older than the former actress. In 2006, the pair met and dated for six years before getting engaged in 2010. They were married in 2011 in Jamaica.
Alas, their marriage only lasted for two years after the pair split, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Some reports claim Markle’s role on Suits, which was filmed in Toronto while Engelson worked in Los Angeles, was the reason, as the pair had a hard time doing long-distance work. The divorce was finalized in August 2013, and Meghan met Prince Harry in 2016.
As per The List, Old photos of Markle and Engelson have resurfaced online, which made tabloids talk about her past yet again. Just when Meghan Markle thought she was moving on in her life after the royal family drama in 2020, the past came haunting her like a ghost.

According to a report from the National Enquirer, which has recently regained attention on X (formerly Twitter), Markle may have had a secret marriage before Engelson. The man at the centre of this hypothesis is Joseph Goldberg-Giuliano, a Boston-based criminal defence attorney.
Meghan Markle and her alleged partner, Joseph Goldberg-Giuliano, reportedly were together for two years and even had a child. A 2019 video resurfaced featuring actress Paula Trickey discussing a 2008 “Deal or No Deal” golf event that Markle supposedly attended. When asked about Markle and Prince Harry having their son Archie.
Later, Paula Trickey casually said that Meghan Markle had “already been married, already has a kid, and already divorced.” This public comment sparked further speculation, and the online users mocked Meghan Markle and the whole ‘secret husband drama’ and said, “This is why they need such a big house—she needs all that closet space for the skeletons.”
Some believe the rumored child of Joseph Goldberg-Giuliano and Meghan Markle is Noelle, the daughter of Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Grant. While neither Markle nor any of the names mentioned above has confirmed any of this recent speculation, there aren’t any photos or credible sources linking Markle to Goldberg-Giuliano or implying she had a child with him.
Therefore, this appears to be yet another baseless whisper that is going around in the spotlight, possibly due to the lack of any steamy and gossip-worthy news about Meghan, her husband, Prince Harry, or the royal family. Sometimes these rumors are hard to shake off, and perhaps it’s just the price popular figures pay for being famous and constantly existing in the public eye.

Today, Meghan Markle is married to Prince Harry, whom she met in London. As per ELLE, Meghan met Prince Harry through a mutual friend named Violet von Westenholz, who became close to the mother of two while working for PR with the famous brand Ralph Lauren.
The duo reportedly had an “Instant connection” when they met and started chatting virtually until they decided to meet in person. Meghan said that she just wanted to date a nice guy, and the fact that he was Diana’s son or a member of the British Royal Family didn’t matter to her.
Soon, their whirlwind romance caught the public eye in 2016, and Meghan Markle was spotted with the prince on several occasions. In November 2017, the duo got engaged and then exchanged vows a year later on May 19, 2018, at the St. George Chapel in Windsor Castle.
