McDonald’s $10 Quarter Pounder Available In Japan

McDonald’s is currently offering a $10 Quarter Pounder at its restaurants in Japan.

If you’re not content to spend the equivalent of pocket change for the company’s value menu burger, then you can always splurge on its high-end cousin. The fast food chain is offering a pricier version of its famous sandwich to customers overseas.

The McDonald’s $10 Quarter Pounder is part of the Quarter Pounder Jewelry series, a line of expensive burgers that come with an assortment of unique ingredients. According to Rocket 24 News, these sandwiches are available for only one day.

The first version up for grabs was the so-called “Golden Ring,” a Quarter Pounder created with pineapple, bacon, Monterey jack cheese, and barbecue sauce. Unfortunately for those who wish to spend $10 on a McDonald’s sandwich, this menu item was only available on July 6.

Fortunately for fast food fanatics, there are still two more unique sandwiches looming on the horizon. Also included in McDonald’s $10 Quarter Pounder line is the “Black Diamond.” This particular burger comes topped with black truffle sauce, grilled mushrooms, onions, and cheese. You can grab one of these sandwiches on July 16.

Kotaku reports that the final offering will make its appearance on July 20. Dubbed the “Ruby Spark,” this McDonald’s $10 Quarter Pounder comes with several slices of delicious chorizo, avocado, and pepper jack cheese.

To sweeten the deal, the restaurant serves each burger in a special box that comes inside a specially-designed bag. You also get a fact sheet about your purchase.

Unfortunately for McDonald’s enthusiasts who are living Stateside, these unique burgers are only being offered to customers in Japan. It’s highly doubtful that any of these creations will find their way into North American locations anytime soon. That’s certainly a shame.

If you’re looking to round out your McDonald’s experience in the country, then you should give the restaurant’s “Mega Potato” fries a shot. Clocking in at a staggering 1,142 calories, the menu item is the equivalent of two large orders of french fries. Your doctor will not be impressed.

What do you think about the McDonald’s $10 Quarter Pounder? Would you spend that much money on one of the fast food chain’s unique burgers?
