Underwood And Swift Feud? Stars Deny Bad Blood

A Carrie Underwood Taylor Swift feud has been alleged by tabloids, but Carrie has spoken up to deny that the two young pop country stars have it in for one another.

The Underwood and Swift feud rumor came courtesy of Us Magazine, and an “insider source” based bit in the gossip pape insisted that the two American idols had beef with one another over some unspecified thing.

In the Underwood and Swift feud piece, the source dishes to the mag that the pair were being kept separate at the then-upcoming Grammys, lest some mean girling break out and someone get a dirty look.

On February 8, the Underwood and Swift piece was published by Us, reading in part:

“According to the insider, Grammy execs were ordered to keep Swift, 23, and Underwood, 29, ‘from crossing paths’ at the Feb. 10 show ‘since they hate each other!’ … Says a Swift pal, ‘Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steer clear of her.’ (A Grammy rep counters, ‘No requests were received from either artist.’ “)

In response to the allegations of an Underwood and Swift feud in the mag, Carrie spoke up to say “no way.”

The fellow country songstress was asked by Gayle King in an upcoming interview with CBS This Morning about the alleged bad blood, to which she replied:

“No [there isn’t a ‘feud’], not that I know of at least … I really like ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.’ It sounded a lot different for her. I liked the branching out, trying some different sounds.”

So if there’s an Underwood and Swift country-pop feud brewing, at least one party denies it.
