Mila Kunis Has Been Trolling The Vice President, Donating To Planned Parenthood In Pence’s Name Every Month

Bad Moms star Mila Kunis has been playing a cheeky prank on Vice President Mike Pence for months. On Thursday night, the actress appeared on TBS’ Conan, where she revealed that Pence receives a thank you letter from Planned Parenthood every month—all thanks to her!

According to the That ’70s Show alum, she had set up a recurring donation to the women’s healthcare provider in Pence’s name. Kunis said that she knew the revelation would bring a lot of hate mail her way and prefaced her story by saying that she’s sorry if she offends anyone.

“I put [Pence] on a list of reoccurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood,” the actress told Conan O’Brien, much to the live studio audience’s delight.

“Every month, to his office, he gets a little letter that says ‘an anonymous donation has been made in your name.'”

Kunis said that she didn’t see the whole thing as merely a prank, but as a way of fighting for women’s equality.

“I disagreed with some of the stuff that Pence was doing and was trying to do. And so as a reminder that there are women out there in the world that may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of reoccurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood.”

“I don’t look at it as a prank,” the Family Guy actress stressed.

“I strongly disagree and this is my little way of showing it. It’s a peaceful protest.”

Mila Kunis isn’t the first celebrity to send money to Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence’s name. Two and a Half Men actress Amber Tamblyn has been urging her social media followers to do just that since November 2016. After Donald Trump won the election, women all over the country were driven to action by the fear that Planned Parenthood would soon be defunded. They began sending donations to the organization, and many sent in their checks in the vice president’s name.

The conservative politician likely isn’t pleased by this “peaceful protest.” Pence, a staunch opponent of abortion rights, has spent many years trying to pass a bill that would pull funds from Planned Parenthood because it offers abortion services.

In March of 2017, the vice president cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate to advance a bill that would bring Congress one step closer to defunding Planned Parenthood. With his help, the Senate voted to nix an Obama-era regulation that was designed to make sure that women’s healthcare providers would continue to get the funds they need.

For years, Republicans have been fighting to stop federal funds from going to Planned Parenthood. Although it gets federal reimbursements for offering women’s health services, Planned Parenthood, the country’s biggest private abortion provider, is actually prohibited from using federal money to perform abortions.

Kunis, who stars in the newly released A Bad Moms Christmas, is a supporter of the Democratic Party and of former President Barack Obama.
