Iggy Azalea has confirmed that her album, Digital Distortion, will not be seeing a release date because her record label has trashed the record in its entirety.
The rapper took to her official Twitter page, confirming the news to her millions of disappointed fans, who seemed rather shocked by the announcement seeing that there had already been multiple singles released from the album, That Grape Juice reports.
Iggy Azalea noted that the label, Def Jam, no longer saw a potential to put the record out, especially after all the setbacks it had already faced prior to the confirmation that the record wasn't coming out anymore.
Her single, "Switch," featuring Anitta, had seen its music video leaked online a couple of weeks back, causing Def Jam to pull the plug on an actual release date for that as well.
It's no secret that Iggy Azalea has struggled to attain the attention she had from the masses back in 2014, with hits like "Fancy" and "Black Widow," which both charted in the top 5 slots on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Fancy" actually ended up becoming one of the biggest songs of that year, but with her comeback single "Team" last year, it was evidently clear that the momentum for Iggy Azalea seemed to have passed.
Digital Distortion was supposed to have been released last year, but due to the lack of performance from the debut single, Def Jam withheld the project until last month before letting Iggy Azalea know that they had pushed the album back again.
