According to the latest How To Get Away With Murder spoilers from Gack Hollywood, fans who thought they’d seen the last of Wes can take comfort in knowing that he will be reappearing on the show, even if only in flashback format. And though the newest episodes won’t be on our TV screens until January 19th, fans will be pleased to know that Alfred Enoch will be returning to the show during the second half of the third season.

And why, you ask, will we be seeing Wes in flashback format? It turns out that he left a little reminder of himself behind in the form of a baby with Laurel. Now there’s a twist that no one saw coming!

Meanwhile, the latest How To Get Away With Murder spoilers from Entertainment Weekly suggest that we can see more of the bait-and-switch that we saw in the mid-season finale in the second half of the season. The outlet sat down with the show creator Pete Nowalk, who made clear that fans should no longer look at the show’s timeline as being linear. In fact, much of what we will see going forward will be in both flashback and current form, so if you’re not paying attention, you won’t know which is which.

“Part of the DNA of the show is that we’re always playing with time. Nothing is hard and fast when you watch it. You don’t know where it is in place and time until we tell you. To me, that’s the fun of the show, the ride of it.”

But the most important question that has yet to be answered on the show is, “who killed Wes?” And the latest How To Get Away With Murder spoilers from the International Business Times UK suggest that the answer will be revealed as soon as the show returns in January.

We’ll recall that when Wes was discovered after Annalise’s house fire, he was already dead. This, of course, lends credence to the belief that the house fire was meant as a cover up for Wes’s murder, not as a way to murder him.

Creator Pete Nowalk said that we can expect the usual drama from the show and that we won’t get the answer immediately.

“We’re going to see what happened to him right as we left him in the first episode back, so we’re going to turn over the cards pretty quickly. One of the things that we’re going to watch is that it’s very emotional for all of the characters so they’re going to either kill each other or have to love each other. It changes the dynamic between every single relationship because Wes was such a centerpiece.”

Fans of the show can “binge watch” their favorite episodes on the ABC Go app while waiting for the show to return.
