Tom Cruise Loves Katie Holmes, Wants Jamie Foxx To Step Down?
Change of heart for Tom Cruise? A recent report suggests that the Jack Reacher star still has a soft spot for his ex-wife Katie Holmes and wants to reconcile with her. If these reports are true, then what is Jamie Foxx going to do?
Tom first talked about his feelings for Katie in his most talked appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s show. On May 23, 2005, the season finale of The Oprah Winfrey Show aired an interview with the Mission Impossible star. The interview was 46 minutes of in-depth personal questions about the star’s love life and his then girlfriend Katie.
When asked about Katie, Tom simply stated that “she’s truly extraordinary.” The Top Gun star went on to express the kind of head-over-heels love that only one can see in Hollywood movies. He expressed his love with a physical ebullience. He pumped his fist, pointed to the sky and shook Winfrey by her shoulders.
“Dear God, you are gone,” Oprah told him.
“I’m gone and I don’t care,” Cruise responded.
If this was Tom’s case, then the story was not that different with Katie. During her interview with W Magazine, she talked about her first encounter with the Jerry Maguire star and how she realized that he was the man she was looking for all her life.
“I’ve found the man of my dreams,” said the then 26-year-old actress. “From the moment I met him, it just felt like I’d known him forever. I was blown away. He’s the most incredible man. He’s so generous and kind, and he helps so many people, and, um, he makes me laugh like I’ve never laughed, and he’s a great friend.”
Before Tom, Katie had her handful of affairs. She was briefly involved with her Dawson’s Creek co-star Joshua Jackson when the show first started airing. After ending her relationship with Jackson, she got engaged to Chris Klein. So, when in the interview it was asked whether her affair with Tom is just a rebound, the Mummy actress stated she and Tom are always going to stay in their “honeymoon phase.”
“Tom is the most incredible man in the world. Meeting Tom—I’m just exhilarated. He makes me laugh, we have fun, we understand each other, everything is so aligned. I feel so lucky and so—like I’ve been given such a gift, such a gift, you know?”
After six years of a happily married life, it was announced that Holmes had filed for divorce from him. An attorney stated that the couple had amicably settled for divorce just two weeks after she filed for it. The details about their divorce were never made public, but their joint statement revealed that they want to give their best to their daughter Suri.
“We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”
A recent report from HNGN suggests that Tom is said to have a keen interest in having Katie back in his life after he heard that Jamie has dumped her. The report further noted that Tom is ready to win his ex-wife’s heart back and for that, he is ready to make some changes, like taking Suri out for a short trip.
The outlet has not provided any reliable source links or quoted any of star’s representatives. So, it is safe to say that the fans of Tom and Katie should take this news with a grain of salt.
Apparently, this is not the first time when rumors about these stars have surfaced online.
Earlier to this, it was reported by Radar Online that Foxx has dumped Holmes as she kept on pushing him to publicly acknowledge their relationship.
“Jamie is tired of being pressured by [Katie Holmes] into going public,” a source told the outlet. “He’s asked for a few months out and made no promise he’ll be available after that.”
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have remained fan favorites and after deciding to end their marriage, they chose to live their individual lives. A lot has been said about them and the involvement of Jamie Foxx in their lives. However, their representatives have always debunked this nonsense.
