‘Westworld’ Episode 7 Easter Eggs: Is There More Than One Dolores? [Spoilers]

Westworld Episode 7 has taken its audience aback by a massive revelation after confirming a popular fan theory about a major character in the show.

Now, some fans are already checking out other Easter Eggs that might confirm other theories, including a less popular one about the oldest host in the park, Dolores.

This serves as a warning for those who have yet to watch Westworld Episode 7, major spoilers are coming so it is time to look away.

In Westworld’s seventh episode titled “Trompe L’Oeil,” showrunners finally decided to confirm a major fan theory about the park’s head of programming, Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright). Apparently, Bernard was actually a host created by Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) to oversee the other hosts.

Westworld Episode 7 was aired on Sunday, November 13, and yet many still cannot get over the major revelation some might say they have seen coming.

Since the beginning of the show, audiences were tricked into thinking that Bernard was a human hired to oversee Westworld’s hosts. Bernard himself was convinced that he is an actual human with a devastating past involving a son who got sick and died.

Apparently, the entirety of what he and we are led to believe is not true as it turns out that Bernard was actually a very old host which he finds out after seeing a host blueprint with his name on it.

What is interesting about it is that Dr. Ford himself confirmed it to Bernard, as he commands him to kill Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) to prevent her from destroying his lifelong project.

“Like I said, I built all of this,” Dr. Ford tells Theresa before Bernard kills her.

But while all these can be exciting to ponder on, it is already the thing of the past which means it is time to move on to new fan theories that may actually hold truth, thanks to Easter Eggs presented in Westworld Episode 7.

The particular fan theory we’re talking about is the one which states that there is more than one Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) in the entire Westworld facility.

An in-depth report by Mic revealed that seeing a blueprint labeled “Dolores Prototype” in Westworld Episode 7 might be hinting that there is truth about the mind-blowing theory that there are older or other versions of the host roaming around. After all, Dolores is the oldest host in the park and had been re-engineered so many times that she is “practically brand new.”

According to Mic, it is quite intriguing to see Dolores’ design in a secret lab where Dr. Ford built the unregistered hosts we now know to be replicas of his family since the eye-catching blonde host is obviously registered.

Now that we think about it, many scenes where Dolores is having conversations with Bernard occur almost simultaneously as she continues to roam the park, as Mic reported.

“The assumption here is that Dolores’ consciousness could occupy two bodies, allowing her to have talks with Bernard while simultaneously following her narrative loop.”

This also points to the idea that Dolores might actually be speaking to the actual, real Arnold (though we see Bernard) as other theories state that Westworld’s head of programming is actually the host version of the park’s co-creator.

Furthermore, Mic noted that given all the clues Westworld Episode 7 and the previous installments have revealed, there is a good chance that two versions of Dolores indeed exist and that the breakout HBO series is running on three different timelines: the present day, the one where Dolores meets William (Jimmi Simpson), and another where she communicates with Arnold.
