Selena Gomez Is Still In Rehab, But Is A Music Comeback In The Works? An Online Source Claims She’s Leaving Rehab In A ‘Few Days’

Selena Gomez is reportedly getting out of rehab soon and as she prepares to return to Los Angeles in the coming weeks, a report claims she may also be preparing for her musical comeback.

Although new songs have not yet been confirmed, a report days ago suggested Selena Gomez could be ready to make her on-stage return at the upcoming 2016 American Music Awards.

“[Selena Gomez] wants her first appearance back in front of her fans to be special and so if she does decide to do the appearance at the [2016 American Music Awards], she will want to do it big with perhaps a dazzling performance or a major announcement,” a source explained to Hollywood Life.

Selena Gomez took a break from the spotlight months ago in the midst of her Revival World Tour, which wasn’t excepted to conclude until late this year. However, her career hiatus, which was previously expected to last one full year, may be coming to an abrupt end later this week.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez said in a statement to People Magazine on August 30. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she continued.

Selena Gomez has not released any further statements in regard to her career hiatus since her announcement to People Magazine months ago, but earlier this week, a report hit Twitter which claimed that someone in the known had confirmed she would be leaving the facility in Tennessee where she’s been for the past several weeks in a “few days.” The source also claimed Selena Gomez would be spending time with family before heading back to her home in Los Angeles.

After Selena Gomez had been confirmed to be in a treatment center outside of Nashville, Tennessee, a source told Us Weekly that the future of her music was up in the air. According to a music industry source, Selena Gomez was supposed to start recording recently, but so far, she hasn’t officially told anyone when she will be back in the studio.

The outlet also revealed that Selena Gomez had been spotted out and about many times since entering treatment but didn’t mention the ongoing rumors regarding visits from her ex-boyfriend. Although a report by Headlines & Global News on November 12 suggested that Bieber had been in touch with Selena Gomez and visited her multiple times, the Us Weekly report only mentioned Selena Gomez’s outings with her mother and stepfather at a Texas Roadhouse and with her grandparents at a breakfast spot nearby.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have faced rumors of a possible reunion in recent weeks, but thus far, there has been no evidence of any such thing.
