Pennsylvania Father Now Charged For Failing To Alert Authorities After Girlfriend Allegedly Murders Toddler Son, Sends Video Of Lifeless Body

A 23-year-old Pennsylvania father, Andre Price II, was arrested Friday and he is now being charged with two felony counts of child endangerment for failing to alert authorities when his girlfriend, Christian Clark, 21, allegedly smothered their 17-month-old son to death and afterward sent him a slew of videos of the child’s lifeless body, according to the CBS News.

Authorities in Allegheny County say around 11:13 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, police responded to a call about an unresponsive child in an apartment home at the Hi View Gardens on Coursin Street. After emergency responders arrived at the scene, the child — Andre Price III — was rushed to UPMC McKeesport, where he was pronounced dead just shortly after arrival.

Clark admitted to smothering her son to death on a mattress while arguing with her boyfriend Andre Price, Jr.

It was reported that a two-hour argument via text commenced after the couple’s son and their 2-year-old daughter, Angel, spilled toilet water on the floor and she didn’t want to have to clean it up. Price – who would sometimes live with Clark – wasn’t home during the incident, but his girlfriend sent a slew of messages expressing her anger at around 9 p.m.

The argument shifted when Clark started to accuse Price of cheating on her with another woman because he hadn’t returned home after work, saying he ruined her life and she did not love their children and threatened to harm them.

Police say while Clark sent her boyfriend alarming text messages, he did not reply even when she sent the following warning.

“Your kids aren’t safe here. I don’t want them here. So you better pray for your kids. Answer me or I’m going to jail for child endangerment.”

Clark sent another text with a laughing emoji that read: “I’m killing them.”

According to the Allegheny County Police Superintendent, Coleman McDonough, “she was sending [messages] before the act, at the time of the act, and following the act.”

The McKeesport father did not respond until Clark began sending a slew of videos of their son’s lifeless body.

“Try to wake him up I said hold him,” Price responded in a text.

However, Clark stated that she was going to call 911.

“You need to if he’s dead,” Price replied.

It was reported that Price never alerted authorities after his girlfriend made threats to harm their children and after he received videos of his son’s lifeless body.

This is not the first time that Price remained silent when Clark allegedly harmed or threatened their children. In a previous incident, which was posted on Facebook, Clark became upset after the pair broke up and she allegedly sent Price a photo of her as she held their son in the air by the throat.

After learning the Pennsylvania mother allegedly smothered her toddler son and sent videos of his lifeless body to his father, it sparked social media outrage where hundreds have called the incident “sad” and “disgusting.”

“Seriously, these two weeks has been f***** for kids getting abused and killed by their parents – so f****** sad. Your mom and dad are the people you’re meant to run to when you need protecting, not the people you need protecting from,” Tilly Vanderputtt wrote in a Facebook post.

“So many people struggle for years to conceive and would want more than anything to have children that they can love and cherish, yet people like this have kids and treat them like this. Heartbreaking!”

McDonough stated that “it just goes to show how texts have become such a routine part of our lives that people don’t even realize the nature of what they’re communicating.”

Clark was charged with murder and attempted murder for allegedly trying to kill her daughter.

The McKeesport couple are being held at the county jail.
