Nicki Minaj is reportedly comforting Drake following reports that the rapper was no longer in a relationship with Rihanna.
While the couple was known to have been friends with benefits for years on end, many believed that Drake confessing his love for the "Needed Me" singer at the Video Music Awards in August was his way of making it official: he wants to spend the rest of his life with Rihanna.
But something seemed to have transpired that has left the former couple on thin ice — so much that insiders claim Rihanna and Drake did not end on good terms when they decided to part ways from one another, E! Online affirms.

Nicki Minaj, however, is said to be helping Drake get over the split in the hopes that he'll bounce back bigger and better. After all, the former Degrassi actor has a European tour to prepare for. Insiders share that being emotional over a breakup is the last thing Drake should be doing right now.
"Nicki was a little sad hearing Drake pout and decided to comfort him," a source tells Hollywood Life. "Nicki has always spoiled Drake and that's why he's so attached to her. She is doing the most and telling him everything he wants to hear."

Minaj and Drake had a nasty falling out last year after Minaj stood by Meek Mill, who found himself in a rap feud with Drizzy. Allegations were made from Meek's camp, claiming that Drake doesn't write his own music, leading the 29-year-old to pen two diss tracks against Nicki Minaj's boyfriend — one of which ended up being nominated for a Grammy.
By the look of things, Nicki and Drake have squashed their own feud. Though her boyfriend and her label pal don't get along with one another, Minaj seems to have acknowledged that siding between two people that she dearly cares about was a reckless decision on her behalf.
Right now, her main focus is to make sure that Drake isn't dwelling too much on the Rihanna breakup because for all that she knows, the two will probably end up getting back together before the year's end since this wouldn't the first time they have broken up.

They've enjoyed a friends with benefits relationship for almost a decade, but sources have stressed, though, that the Bajan-beauty is desperate to settle down and starting making marriage and children a priority of hers.

Nicki Minaj may be wrong to think that the duo will get back together because Rihanna is strongly pushing for more than just a friend with benefits; she wants to be a wife and a mother to several children. Ending the relationship with Drake may be down to her not being convinced that he's the guy she wants to settle down with.
Do you think Nicki Minaj is the right person to be comforting Drake following his split from Rihanna?
