‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tragedy Strikes As Two Beloved Characters Are Attacked, Leaving One Dead And The Other Fighting For Her Life

It was an eventful Wednesday on ABC’s General Hospital as more tragedy struck Port Charles, only this time it got a lot more personal. Paul Hornsby took out another syringe full of derisifol and attacked Monica Quartermaine with it, and then went after poor Sabrina Santiago after she figured out who he was. Unfortunately, it looks like only one of these women will survive.

The hospital serial killer is on a rampage, but no one knows exactly why he is going around killing people. Monica seemed to be the last person on Paul’s killing spree agenda and he thought he had gotten away with it. However, he wasn’t expecting to run into Sabrina on her first day back to work. It was terrible to see him attack and eventually kill Sabrina to keep her quiet. It will be a sad day, especially for Michael, who is planning to propose to Sabrina. General Hospital spoilers that have been posted by Soaps She Knows says that he reveals the exciting news to Felix right before they learn of her death.

The spoilers also reveal that Monica is still alive, but is on life support. She is hanging on by a thread, with Tracy by her side begging her to be okay. Monica’s son, Jason Morgan, will also be making a plea for her to survive this ordeal. It is pretty certain that she will eventually pull through, but that is not the case for the person who saved her life.

Sabrina had discovered Monica not breathing after Paul injected her. She had told him to go get help, but of course he didn’t. Once the needle mark was found on her neck, Sabrina found Paul to report it. However, she then questioned him why he didn’t get help for Monica right away and unfortunately, she also saw the surgical glove hanging from his pocket that he used when attacking Monica. At this point, General Hospital viewers were yelling at the TV for Sabrina to run for her life, but Paul grabbed her, took her into a room with her struggling, and killed her.

It may have come as a shock for many viewers to learn that the show had decided to kill off Sabrina. Actress Teresa Castillo has played this character since 2012, when she came to Port Charles as an awkward nurse who had transformed into Cinderella shortly after. She had also formed a close friendship with both Felix DuBois and Elizabeth Webber and was just about ready to begin her new life with Michael and her baby boy Teddy.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, her departure had supposedly been confirmed by Teresa Castillo herself on her Twitter. While she didn’t actually come right out and confirm it on social media, she is expected to have spoken out about her exit from General Hospital to Soap Opera Digest in their upcoming issue on sale this Friday.

Many fans are now questioning why the soap chose to let go of Teresa Castillo. Many on social media have expressed their anger and frustration over her character’s untimely death, especially since this also leaves baby Teddy motherless on the show. What will happen to him now? There is likely to be a custody fight between Joe Rivera, Teddy’s uncle, and the Quartermaine family. Tracy has grown to love that baby and his mother, so she and Michael will not be giving him up without a fight. They will also be devastated by this tragic loss.

Thursday’s episode of General Hospital is expected to be a tearjerker. Not only will Sabrina’s lifeless body will most likely be found by Michael, but Tracy and Jason will be sitting by Monica’s bedside willing her to come back to them. Sabrina’s death will be felt by everyone. This tragedy is definitely not being taken lightly by fans. In fact, there is a petition going on right now to get Castillo back to the soap.
