‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Spoilers: Enzo And Bonnie’s ‘Shakespearean’ Story Has Crazy Twist
The Vampire Diaries recently explained how Enzo and Bonnie got together. It is a union being described by some as a “Shakespearean” love story. So, what can TVD fans expect from this unlikely couple? According to actor Michael Malarkey, Enzo and Bonnie’s story will have a crazy twist, and viewers won’t have to wait long to find out what that means.
On the last episode of The Vampire Diaries, Enzo saved Bonnie from Armory guards, then injected her in the neck. There was a scene that showed Bonnie in a cabin trying to kill Enzo with a fire poker. Of course, that was not successful, and Kat Graham’s character resented being locked up. However, Enzo said that Bonnie was not a prisoner.
Eventually, Enzo and Bonnie spent New Year’s together, and he was quite charming and romantic. TVD fans who never really warmed up to Enzo were even pleasantly surprised by how he swooped Bonnie off her feet. However, their romantic night didn’t last long. After gently kissing Bonnie on the cheek, Michael Malarkey’s character stepped outside to resume his Armory duties.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 19, ended with a plan for Bonnie to go undercover at the mental hospital, and she had a huge wound on her hand. Graham’s character still had Damon’s letter, which reminded her why she had to be careful about who to trust.
The biggest storyline in “Somebody That I Used To Know” is the poisoned pills and finding out Bonnie only has one week left to live. Can Bonnie be saved, or will this be how Kat Graham exits TVD?
In an interview, Michael Malarkey revealed details about Enzo and Bonnie’s “Shakespearean” story, how the actor feels about his character and more.
“Oh, my god, you have no idea how crazy it’s going to get! It’s pretty intense. It’s of Shakespearean propositions,” Michael Malarkey teased to Collider about Enzo and Bonnie’s future on TVD. “Enzo is poisoning the love of his life without his own knowledge of it. That’s huge! What a terrible thing to happen to two people who have just finally found something, after years of not having anything. But, that makes all of the scenes very high stakes and very intense. There’s a crazy twist coming up, that you’ll find out very soon.”
As for how Enzo has changed over the seasons, Malarkey stated that he is a three-dimensional character. Enzo has experienced massive pain and turmoil. However, as TVD fans saw last week, Enzo is capable of being genuine and having a real relationship with someone.

There is some information on what is happening next on The Vampire Diaries, Season 7, Episode 20. Titled “Kill ‘Em All,” Spoilers Guide stated that Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) will work with Enzo in an attempt to save Bonnie. However, Damon will make a choice that will change his relationship with Bonnie for eternity.
Also, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Matt (Zach Roerig) will team up and the reason for Matt’s anger will be revealed. As for Caroline (Candice King), she and Alaric (Matt Davis) will go on a mission. However, Caroline will have to admit how much she missed her supernatural life.
