‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12 Spoilers — Jackson Is Ready To Move On From April, Plus Is Meredith Ready To Date?

Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy has certainly been an interesting one. And in the next upcoming episodes of this season, it appears that some major decisions will be taking place.

First off is the whole messy dynamic between Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew). Fans already know that Season 12 has not been friendly to the couple, with both parties recently signing divorce papers.

But Movie News Guide reminds viewers that the pregnant April has yet to tell Jackson that his baby is growing inside her. The synopsis for Episode 17 claims that April has a tough decision to make. This automatically makes everyone believe that she will inform Jackson about the pregnancy, but a future episode’s synopsis states that Jackson will learn of the baby during the March 24 episode. Either way, it’s a decision that actress Sarah Drew believes could bring the couple back together.

“I totally think this baby could bring them back together,” Drew stated to Entertainment Weekly.

As for Jackson, who served April with divorce papers in a very public fashion, he appears to be ready to hit the dating pool. According to Us Weekly, Jackson is on the receiving end after he is caught flirting with a fellow doctor in the sneak peek of the March 10 episode.

The preview shows Jackson talking with Dr. Emily Vaughn, played by guest star Sarah Jane Morris, during a visit to a military clinic.

“We don’t get a lot of chances to see someone with your level of expertise,” Dr. Vaughn tells Jackson.

But Jo (Camilla Luddington) overhead the conversation and later called Jackson out on it. She accuses Jackson of flirting, but Jackson counters by claiming he didn’t say anything provocative.

“You don’t have to say anything,” Jo says and then gestures to his body. “All of this is a flirt.”

Another hot storyline for Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy involves widow Meredith Grey. Carter Matt reveals that eventually she will be back to dating, and it could come sooner than expected. It’s hard to believe that Derek Shepherd would want his former bride to be single for the rest of her life. And given the time jump, enough time has passed to respectfully begin venturing back into the dating realm.

In the synopsis for the March 24 episode, titled “I Am Not Waiting Anymore,” a major hint is dropped that Meredith is inching closer to taking the first step into finding love again.

“Jackson learns about April’s pregnancy, while Alex and the team of doctors handles an hours-long triple-organ transplant surgery. Meredith considers dating again, and Andrew insists on not receiving special treatment after he and Maggie go public.”

While seeing if Meredith is dating again, the March 24 episode has a lot of decisions on its plate. Hopefully by the end of it, Meredith will figure out what she wants and Jackson will finally learn that April is carrying his baby.

Meanwhile, ET reports that a new face is coming to the medical drama. For a multiple episode arc beginning in April, Wilmer Valderrama will be joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy.

Not much is known about who Wilmer will play, other than the name Kyle Diaz. The 36-year-old currently stars on El Rey’s From Dusk Till’ Dawn and had a role on FOX’s version of Minority Report, which ran for 10 episodes. He is also slated to star in CBS’ military pilot, Four Stars.
