WWE News: AJ Styles Merchandise Sells Out, Big Push Coming

In WWE news, AJ Styles is set to receive a major push after officials noticed that his newly made merchandise sold out rather quickly, according to Wrestling Inc.

AJ Styles has only been with WWE for a couple of days now, but he’s already off to an extremely hot start.

Reports have surfaced that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion has moved a ton of merchandise that WWE produced for his debut, which is something that has caught the attention of management.

All of the AJ Styles merchandise that was available on the official WWE Shop sold out on Sunday night, and all of the merchandise that was available at the Amway Center in Orlando during the Royal Rumble were moved as well.

Orlando was long the home of TNA and Impact Wrestling, so it makes sense that there would be a lot of AJ Styles fans in the audience that were eager to purchase his merchandise as soon as they witnessed his surprising entrance at the Royal Rumble.

It says a lot about AJ Styles, though, that WWE fans at home would immediately go to the online store to seek out his merchandise, especially since many were using their electronic devices to watch the Royal Rumble through the WWE Network.

Being able to move a large amount of merchandise bodes well for AJ Styles, as Vince McMahon uses that as one of his biggest barometers when it comes to deciding which WWE superstars receive a huge push.

There’s a reason why Vince McMahon was so enamored with Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Dwayne Johnson, and John Cena over the years.

Since all of his merchandise has been moved, one can expect WWE to order more merchandise for AJ Styles, and one can also expect Vince McMahon to order his team of designers to start creating new items as well.

World Wrestling Entertainment has essentially been producing new merchandise for New Day on what seems to be a weekly basis because Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E Langston have been moving a bunch of products for the company, which has also led to more television time for the trio.

If AJ Styles can keep this merchandise trend up, not only will he be guaranteed television time each week on Monday Night Raw, but the former world heavyweight champion will more than likely be a regular on the monthly pay per view events.

By securing a regular spot on the monthly pay per view events, AJ Styles can then make it easier for himself to receive bigger matches against some of the top level guys.

AJ Styles was already given a match against Chris Jericho, one of the bigger names in WWE, on Monday Night Raw this week, and he can expect to face the other top stars soon.

At the very least, AJ Styles — who is leaning towards being a baby face, but could easily turn heel once Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows join the company — can get a program with the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which is currently held by Dean Ambrose.

It would be a great disappointment for WWE fans who have long yearned to see AJ Styles joining the company if the Intercontinental Championship is the highest level that Styles achieves.

A WWE Heavyweight Championship program would be great for AJ Styles because it would enable him to work with some of the biggest names in the most well known wrestling promotion in the world.

It appears that wrestling fans are finally going to be able to see AJ Styles right where he belongs.
