Chris Brown Dissing Rihanna’s Relationship With Travis Scott? ‘X’ Singer Throws Shade On Instagram
Chris Brown may have recently released his collaborative track, “Counterfeit,” featuring ex-girlfriend Rihanna on his new mixtape last month, but is Chris Brown feeling jealous over Rihanna’s rumored relationship with rapper Travis Scott?
Chris Brown treated fans to a surprise release of his 34-song mixtape, Before The Party, on Black Friday, which featured a mix of previously recorded and never-before-heard tracks from the “Loyal” singer just weeks ahead of the release of Brown’s impending studio album, Royalty. While fans gushed over Chris’ new songs like “The Breakup” and “Roses Turn Blue,” Brown’s previously recorded collaboration with Rihanna instantly sparked reunion rumors between the former couple.
Now, it appears Chris Brown is further fueling those romance rumors after he seemingly dissed Rihanna’s rumored boyfriend, Travis Scott, on Instagram.
“Travis and Rihanna are dating, officially. It’s already very serious. He’s very into her.”
Soon after sources confirmed the nature of Rihanna’s relationship with Travis, Rihanna took to Instagram to announce that Travis Scott will be featured as a guest performer on her upcoming “Anti World Tour,” which kicks off in February, 2016.
While Chris Brown has yet to comment on his ex’s new romance with Travis Scott, who has been photographed hanging out with Brown on multiple occasions, Brown seemingly dissed the “Antidote” rapper on Instagram after commenting on one of Scott’s promotional photos.
While some commenters began speculating that Chris Brown may be missing his former relationship with Rihanna, other fans pointed out that Brown and Travis Scott are actually close friends and that Brown’s comment was likely aimed at Jas Prince and not Travis.

“He’s very cool with travis, if u payed attention to chris that’s shade for jay and he was [obviously] joking,” one fan explains while another points out that Brown performed Travis Scott’s hit, “Antidote,” alongside the rapper just a few months ago.
The news comes just months after Chris Brown shut down rumors that suggested he gets jealous over seeing Rihanna spark dating rumors with other guys, telling Tim Westwood TV that while he’ll always “have love” for Rihanna, he doesn’t get upset over her dating life.
“[Rihanna’s] my homie though,” Chris Brown began after being asked about his decision to perform Rihanna’s track “B**** Better Have My Money” during one of his live shows. “We knew each other since we were 14, 15, so with that kind of history, we are always going to be cool.”
“I don’t get jealous, I don’t get mad. I got nothing but love and respect for her.”
Brown concludes his statement on Rihanna with, “I respect her as an artist. Obviously people are going to make a spectacle, like, ‘Oh, he’s playing her music!’ But who doesn’t? I’m pretty sure she plays my music.”
Similarly, Rihanna opened up about the nature of her past romance with Brown in an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this year, telling the mag that while she and Brown “don’t have much of a relationship now,” she will “care about him until the day I die.”
