Jenelle Evans Confirms She’s Quitting ‘Teen Mom 2’ After Nathan Griffith’s Rumored Engagement: ‘Still Standing My Ground’

Jenelle Evans appears to have made her exit from Teen Mom 2 official. Last week, after rumors surfaced, claiming Jenelle Evans’ ex-fiance, Nathan Griffith, had recently got engaged to his girlfriend, Jessica Henry, the reality star and mother of two took to Twitter, where she told fans she was “done with the show.”

In a series of since-deleted tweets, Jenelle Evans responded to Griffith’s denial about being engaged, claiming he was an “attention seeker” and revealing he’d been filming the show’s upcoming seventh season.

“I’m done with the show,” Jenelle Evans wrote, according to a report by Starcasm on December 5. “[You] two can go and have your own now.”

Jenelle Evans continued on in a couple more tweets, which have also been deleted, telling fans, “Isn’t #TeenMom [supposed] to be about being a teen parent?! I’m confused, the focus seems to have shifted.”

After Jenelle Evans deleted the tweets mentioned, many assumed the Teen Mom 2 star was simply reacting badly to the news of Griffith filming with MTV and didn’t really quit the show. However, on December 6, Jenelle Evans shared two more tweets, confirming her decision with fans.

“Still standing my ground. Done with the show #teenmom2 sorry everyone! Hope everyone was able to relate to my story while it lasted. Going back to deleting my app… Won’t be on for a while.”

Since telling fans she wouldn’t be on for a while, Jenelle Evans returned to Twitter, where she shared several re-tweets, including a photo of herself and her new boyfriend, David Eason, whom she began dating in September, weeks after calling off her engagement to Griffith.

While Jenelle Evans’ ex, Griffith, the father of her 1-year-old son, Kaiser, claims he and Jessica Henry are not engaged, she was certainly sporting what looked to be an engagement ring in recent Facebook photos, and in one particular shot, they appeared to be standing in the perfect place for a potential proposal.

Jenelle Evans began dating Griffith in 2013, just weeks after splitting from former husband Courtland Rogers, and in true fashion, Jenelle Evans wasted no time getting serious with Griffith. Within a few weeks, the couple had moved in together and were planning to start a family. Then, in June 2014, a year after they met, their son Kaiser arrived.

As fans saw on Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Jenelle Evans and her former partner became engaged in January of this year while on vacation in St. Thomas (Ironically, Jenelle Evans recently took Eason to St. Thomas). However, just days after their engagement, the couple began feuding, and in the months that followed, their relationship continued to get worse and worse, with multiple arrests and at least a couple breakups.

Last year, before production began on Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Jenelle Evans’ co-star, Leah Messer, announced on Twitter that she was quitting the show. At the time, Leah Messer was battling a number of rumors regarding her alleged infidelities and drug use, and apparently, she wasn’t wiling to share her life with the cameras any longer. But when Teen Mom 2 Season 6 began, Messer was seen and didn’t appear to have filmed any less than her co-stars.

With Teen Mom 2 in production, it’s hard to say what’s really going on with Jenelle Evans, but even if she has truly quit the show after starring for years on MTV, fans will likely see at least some of her story as she began filming weeks ago.
