Khloe Kardashian feels that 2015 has been rough on her. Although the positive aspects of the past year include publishing a new book and continuing her romance with boyfriend James Harden, Khloe recently experienced soaring stress levels when Lamar Odom was discovered unconscious in a brothel. Now Kardashian is still supporting her estranged husband's recovery while recovering herself from a staph infection, reported Us Weekly.
Because Khloe and Lamar remain legally married, Kardashian has been responsible for making his medical decision, some of which are life-and-death. And at 31, the reality TV star suffered even more when she was forced into quarantine as the result of a staph infection.
Although Khloe now is recovering from that infection and no longer isolated in quarantine, the stress hasn't let up as she took on the responsibility of hosting Thanksgiving for her large family. So when a Twitter fan complimented her, Kardashian confessed just how negatively she regarded 2015.
"@khloekardashian except with the whole Lamar thing 2015 was good to you," complimented the fan.
"Hands down worst year of my life lol," claimed Khloe.
But Thanksgiving may not have ranked among the worst days of her life. That's because Kardashian got into the spirit of the day by sharing her joy in preparing a delicious meal for her family as well as her reasons for giving thanks, reported E! News.
Describing herself as "extra thankful" despite all the stress she's gone through, Khloe made it clear through her social media that she was excited about the ambitious plans she had concocted for the Kardashian and Jenner clan. But Kardashian didn't neglect Lamar on Thanksgiving as he remained in the hospital. Now that she's out of quarantine from her staph infection, Khloe can visit him again.
Kardashian shared her plans for Thanksgiving and reasons for counting her blessings in a post, "Why I'm Extra Thankful This Thanksgiving."
Khloe revealed that she planned to have three versions of Thanksgiving despite her year of stress.
"After our family Thanksgiving dinner is over, I invite friends to join, especially friends who don't have family around," said the reality star. "So we have a family Thanksgiving, a friends Thanksgiving, and this year I will also be having a hospital Thanksgiving."
Describing her views on the holiday, Kardashian described the day as a time to be with those who are loved, whether family or friends, and to care about others.
"Thanksgiving is a time to gather around loved ones. Whether they are blood or bond...to be grateful for all that we have been so abundantly blessed with and also to spare a few thoughts and prayers for those not so lucky. No matter where you are in life you can always find something to be thankful for."
Among those "loved ones" on the list for enjoying the dinner that Khloe had prepared? Kylie Jenner, who declared that she was ready "to tear this dinner up" on social media. Kylie even showed that she was impressed with what her sister had concocted by creating a video tour of the carefully designed and intricate holiday preparations.
For Kardashian, being able to return to the hospital and show Odom that she cares counts among her reasons to be thankful, reported People.
Lamar remains at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and during Khloe's quarantine from the staph infection, she was "devastated" that she could not visit him, a source told People.
However, now that Kardashian is out and about again, she can return to show her support for Odom. As the Inquisitr reported, Lamar is suffering from brain damage as a result of the strokes and oxygen deprivation he suffered.
Although Odom has progressed, the cognitive impairment is causing problems, ranging from communicating to walking without assistance, leading to a long battle ahead and a concern that he may never fully recover.
