‘Dancing With The Stars’ Spoilers Week 8: America’s Choice Dances — Which Couple Will Win Immunity?

Dancing with the Stars moves into its eighth week of competition on November 2, with seven celebrities and their pro dance partners continuing their quest for the Season 21 Mirrorball Trophy. According to ABC, one couple will earn immunity during the “America’s Choice” performances, and one couple will face elimination at the end of the night.

There’s a big first this week with fans taking part in a real-time voting during a live dance-off, something that has never been done in the previous 20 seasons of Dancing with the Stars. Find information on how to vote below.

Before the dance-off, all seven couples will perform dances that honor influential figures in the lives of the celebrities. (See a full song list below.) These dances will be very important — the couple with the highest score will earn immunity from next week’s elimination (Week 9), guaranteeing them a spot on Week 10.

ABC has released the songs but not the dance styles for the “influential figures” dances. However, Buddy TV’s spoilers indicate that Nick Carter will dance a Contemporary routine, Bindi Irwin will do the Foxtrot, Carlos PenaVega will perform a Salsa, and Tamar Braxton will do a Paso Doble. The routines that Alexa PenaVega, Andy Grammer, and Alek Skarlatos will do are still unknown, but fans can expect to see a Viennese Waltz, an Argentine Tango, and one other dance routine performed.

Here are the songs the couples will dance to on Week 8, courtesy of ABC.

  • Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough: “Grace Kelly”
  • Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas: “Viva La Vida”
  • Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson: “Valio La Pena”
  • Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: “Can’t Help Falling in Love”
  • Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy: “Born This Way”
  • Andy Grammer and Allison Holker: “Isn’t She Lovely”
  • Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold: “Holding Out for a Hero”

After the performances are done and the judges give out their scores, one couple with the highest score will be awarded immunity for Week 9. Then it’s on to the dance-off for the six couples who didn’t get immunity.

ABC states that six couples will compete in a “head-to-head dance-off to be voted on by America” and the three judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Julianne Hough. Viewers who vote during the dance-off on ABC.com will have their votes combined with the judges’ votes and will add an extra two points to their overall score for the night. The couple who earned immunity will get three extra points added onto their score.

Last week, Hayes Grier was eliminated, moments after DWTS host Tom Bergeron announced that Hayes was in jeopardy, along with Tamar Braxton and Alexa PenaVega. Depending on the votes, the remaining seven celebrities received last Monday night will determine who will face elimination next.

The points the couples received last week were a combination of the points received for their Halloween Night performances and the group dances. Bindi Irwin and her partner, Derek Hough, came out on the top of the leaderboard, with a total score of 58 and Alek Skarlatos and Witney Carson received the lowest score, a 53, putting them in last place.

Here’s a look at last week’s leaderboard as the remaining seven couples head into the Week 8 competition.

  • Bindi Irwin – 58
  • Andy Grammer – 56
  • Carlos PenaVega – 56
  • Alexa PenaVega – 55
  • Nick Carter, Tamar Braxton – 54
  • Alek Skarlatos – 53

Which celebrity will be voted off next and who will get immunity on Monday, November 2? Tune in to watch Dancing with the Stars at 8 p.m. ET on ABC to find out.
