Prince William and Kate Middleton’s popularity continues to rise as the pair have been voted the most powerful and influential couple in the world by a new poll.
In order to top this list the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge beat out the likes of Barack and Michelle Obama, David and Victoria Beckham, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, and Bill and Melinda Gates.
According to the Mirror, the poll was conducted by British cable station Sky1 to celebrate the brand-new series of The Muppets, especially the relationship between Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy, who have broken up at the start of the show.
The 2,000 voters voted Kate Middleton and Prince William at the top of the list, with David and Victoria Beckham coming in second, and Prince William’s grandparents the Queen and Prince Philip finishing third. The top five was rounded off by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, respectively.
Barnett insists that the couple has “clearly got it together,” before adding, “They are not pompous, they are not arrogant and William really comes across as quite humble and that’s quite an unusual quality in a celebrity or high profile couple.”
She continues, “They seem to be taking time for themselves and having time away from the kids and also they are keeping their own individuality. It’s important in any relationship that people do things that are for themselves and keep respect for each other.”
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton has been dogged with rumors that she is currently in the midst of a disagreement with her own mother, Carole Middleton. In fact, tabloids have insisted that Kate Middleton is so apoplectic with her own mother that she is threatening to ban her from future royal events.
These rumors emerged from Star magazine, via Star Pulse, who have a history of falsely reporting on news regarding Kate Middleton and Prince William.
This story started earlier this month when 60-year-old Carole Middleton was spotted openly drinking a bottle of wine at the Rugby World Cup. There were even rumors that Carole Middleton brought the bottle of wine to the event herself.
Because of this, Star Magazine’s source insists that Carole Middleton is on the verge of a drinking problem, while also reporting that her marriage of 35 years to Michael Middleton is in trouble.
The alleged insider also added that Kate Middleton has spoken to Carole, saying, “If she doesn’t straighten up, she’ll be banned from all royal events.”
This is despite the fact that Michael Middleton sat next to his wife during the England v Australia match at the Rugby World Cup where Carole was spotted drinking the bottle of wine. However, Star magazine failed to add any substantial evidence to back up their claims.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are about to enter the most fragile time for their relationship, statistically. That’s because, according to the Office For National Statistics, divorces are most likely to be initiated between the fourth and eighth wedding anniversary. The Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge were married on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey.
