McDonald’s Breakfast: McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast Available, Customers Excited About New Menu


The McDonald’s breakfast that millions love will now be available all-day. Starting on Tuesday, the McDonald’s all-day breakfast will be offered whenever you’re craving that McMuffin, McGriddle, or other delicious item from the fast-food chain.

USA Today reports that the company received over 120,000 tweets specifically asking that the McDonald’s breakfast menu be offered all-day. The restaurant heard what people had to say, and is now giving them what they want.

The report played around with all the different options that that customers can now choose from, like combining a hashbrown with any sandwich or having a quarter-pounder with cheese with the egg from an Egg McMuffin.

As Advertising Age reviews, McDonald’s announced the All-Day Breakfast on September 1 though social media and the news. It’s continuing a major social media presence in light of the all-day breakfast reveal. Commercials have emerged in promotion of the October 6 launch.

McDonald’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Deborah Wahl, is calling the rollout “the people’s launch.” She talked about the McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast campaign and what it means for the company.

“It really is one of the biggest platforms that we’ve launched in quite a long time. It shows the breadth of what we’re working on here and the fact that we think there are a lot of people who are going to engage on everything.”

McDonald’s has done a lot to promote launching the all-day breakfast. A lot has been via Twitter, as well as “TV spots to partnering with Threadless to allow consumers to create t-shirts, bags and other merchandise with All Day Breakfast themes. ”

Many of the commercials have been aired on multi-cultural networks, that include spots from Burrell Communications, which is McDonald’s agency for African-American works. They involve stars from the D.L. Hughley and Tom Joyner radio shows.

When it comes to the all-day breakfast menu at McDonald’s, Wahl further explains that this is going to be a constant campaign that continues into next year.

“We’re launching it in October, but you will see this as a continually advertised platform through all of next year, actually, because it’s that’s important, and we see that much potential opportunity for people who really want to make breakfast an anytime occasion. When we talk about it being significant, it’s far more than just what’s happening in this month and it has real potential to grow.”

The concept is a major campaign for the fast-food chain that hopes to see people fully enjoy eating items from their breakfast menu anytime of day.

McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast will boast the immensely popular items that have been a favorite among customers. They include: Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Sausage McMuffin, Hotcakes with Sausage, Hotcakes, Sausage Burrito, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait, and Hash Browns.

The Denver Post reports that to celebrate the all-day breakfast launch, McDonald’s officials say that they’re also launching a PJ Day at participating locations. Patrons who show up wearing pajamas get a free Egg McMuffin. Note, shirts and shoes are still required.

The McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast is part of an incentive overhaul to improve its revenue. According to Denver Post, “guest counts fell by 4.1 percent in 2014, leading to annual sales falling 5.2 percent to $26 billion that year.”

McDonald’s breakfast is reportedly the best-selling part of the day for the fast food giant. So, it’ll be interesting to see how well over time the all-day breakfast performs for the bottom line. A lot of people enjoy eating breakfast anytime of day and knowing McDonald’s is there to satisfy that craving will be all the more appealing to them.
