James Woods Slams Obama Over Oregon School Shooting And Persecution Of Christians

Actor James Woods is never one to remain silent, even though his conservative opinions go against the grain of Hollywood. According to the Wrap, Woods has now slammed Obama over the way he reacted to the Oregon school shooting.

“The ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ star took to Twitter and lambasted the president on Friday. Woods was apparently irked by what he felt was Obama’s insufficient attention to reports that the suspected shooter, Chris Harper Mercer, singled out Christians in Thursday’s rampage.”

“Hate crime massacre of Christians finally silences Obama. #LiberalLyryngitis,” Woods tweeted.

The responses to Woods tweets were mixed.

“James Woods is an idiot. Just had to put that out there,” tweeted Rich Sweeney.

James Woods also took offense because he feels Obama used the shootings to politicize the gun issue. The New York Times quoted President Obama speaking passionately about the issue on Thursday.

“So tonight, as those of us who are lucky enough to hug our kids a little closer are thinking about the families who aren’t so fortunate. I’d ask the American people to think about how they can get our government to change these laws, and to save these lives and let these people grow up.”

As the New York Times noted, Obama passively aggressively insulted the National Rifle Association, an organization which has successfully fought most limits on gun use and, in many states, has made gun ownership far easier.

“And I would particularly ask America’s gun owners who are using those guns properly, safely, to hunt for sport, for protecting their families, to think about whether your views are being properly represented by the organization that suggests it is speaking for you,” Obama added.

This isn’t the first time James Woods has gone after Obama. As the New York Daily News reported in July, Woods slammed Obama over the Chattanooga shootings that left four marines dead.

“One of the most outspoken conservatives in Hollywood took to Twitter Friday to slam liberals and President Obama in the aftermath of the attack that left four Marines dead a day earlier.”

In May, Twitchy reported that Woods posted a picture of a banner that read “We Accept EBT” and said it was the official Obama flag. Woods has also criticized the way Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder handled the racial situation in Ferguson, Missouri, by believing they were all trying to flame racial division in the country. All of this has made James Woods blacklisted from Hollywood.

“I don’t expect to work again. I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first,” James Woods said to a fan, according to the Washington Times.

In the past, other conservative and blacklisted movie stars have made the move to becoming commentators on Fox News. When Dennis Miller’s career crashed, he reinvented himself as a successful conservative commentator and appears regularly with Bill O’Reilly on his hit show The O’Reilly Factor.
