Prince Harry Talks Princess Diana Influence, Dismisses Cressida Bonas Romance Rumors

Prince Harry has opened up about how his mother, Princess Diana, continues to influence him from beyond the grave. At the same event, he also dismissed recent romantic rumors linking him to two ex-girlfriends.

Prince Harry was speaking as he embarked on a 17-mile walk to help the charity Walking With The Wounded. When asked about his tireless approach to helping out charities, Harry explained how he has been directly influenced by his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car crash in 1997.

Talking to the Mirror as he made the impressive hike, Prince Harry said that doing “behind the scenes” charity work was just as important as doing work that’s publicized.

The 31-year-old explained, “It’s equally important, if not more so, to do the stuff behind the scenes. It’s something that our mother did a lot of and that’s the time that you really get to learn, you get the experiences and you actually get the honest truth out of people.”

Throughout her tenure as part of the Royal Family, and even after she divorced from Prince Charles, Princess Diana would regularly visit charities in secret.

Prince Harry currently works away from the cameras with the Ministry Of Defence’s London Personnel Recovery Unit, which is where he meets a variety of servicemen and women that have been wounded in battle.

Harry added, “The Personnel Recovery Unit – wow – the kind of conversations I have and the experiences I’m getting and all the knowledge from these guys – it’s second to none.”

“It’s so crucial to be able to go down to Headley Court and strike up a relationship with these individuals that i can go back and forward to visit,” Harry continued. “If you want to learn the truth from people – like when I was in Africa for three months in the summer – sometimes you just have to do behind the scenes.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry talked to ITV News, via Hello Magazine, as he continued on his walk, and in the process he inadvertently revealed that recent rumors linking him to his old girlfriends Cressida Bonas and Chelsea Davy were very wide of the mark.

When asked if he was any closer to settling down just like his older brother, Prince William, Prince Harry insisted that he wasn’t.

“No, you know, at the end of the day, there’s a lot of things to get done before settling down,” Harry said, before then making a joke about the fact that he still had plenty more miles to walk as part of his commitment.

“I’ve got another seven miles to walk now, which I’m really not looking forward too,” he quipped, before he was then corrected. This led him to joke, “Eight? Great!”

Harry then got slightly serious about the question, remarking, “I think everyone looks forward to settling down, but in the meantime, it’s work as usual. So crack on.”

Prince Harry and the British model Cressida Bonas previously dated for two years. However their relationship came to an end back in March after they had an argument.

Over the summer they allegedly reconciled briefly, while there were also rumors that Harry had become friendly with Chelsea Davy again, too. Harry and Davy dated for around five years, with their relationship coming to an end in 2009.
