Gwen Stefani’s $100 Million Net Worth Might Be Divided In Divorce, Gavin Is ‘Threatening To Go To Trial’ [Video]

What started as an “amicable” divorce between Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale has started to heat up. According to Radar Online,Stefani might have her net worth split in half — all because she failed to get a prenup.

Although sources disagree on Gwen’s total net worth — estimates range between $80 million and $125 million — it’s clear that Gwen Stefani is worth much more than Rossdale. According to Life & Style, Gwen’s fortune ranges between $80-$100 million, while Gavin’s is estimated between $20 million and $35 million.

Radar Online reports that her husband is now seeking half of the “Hollaback Girl” singer’s net worth, and is willing to drag Stefani through a vicious court battle to get it. According to an insider, “Gavin is now demanding more than half” of Gwen’s fortune, and threatening to divide her net worth in half.

The insider continued that Gavin’s reasons are simple. Gavin “complained that while Gwen was launching her successful clothing line, continuing her music career and expanding her brand by appearing as a judge on The Voice, he stayed home with their sons,” entitling him to half of her net worth. Gwen Stefani and Rossdale share three boys, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, who are 9, 7, and 19 months, respectively.

Us Weekly reports that the marriage between Gwen and the rocker had been unraveling for a while, and “during all their bad times it made Gwen more focused on work.”

In California, married couples without a prenup usually will have their combined net worth split in half, and according to a source close to Stefani and Rossdale, Gavin is “prepared to make [Gwen]’s life miserable” if she doesn’t pay up. “Gavin is even threatening to go to trial if he isn’t given a chunk of Gwen’s fortune. And he will ask for child and spousal support as well,” the insider confided to Radar Online.

The source confessed that “Gwen is furious because at the outset of the divorce, Gavin said he wouldn’t go after her money.” Stefani is “just kicking herself for not getting a prenup,” now that her soon-to-be ex-hubby is threatening to divide her net worth in half.

Gwen isn’t giving up half her fortune without a fight, reports Radar Online. Gwen, who is not only an award-winning musician but owns a world-class clothing line, “has worked very hard for her money.” Gwen “isn’t just going to hand over a huge check to Gavin,” without a fight. But with a million-dollar clothing line, brand endorsements, and album sales, it won’t take long for Gwen to regain her lost net worth post-divorce.

Radar Online writes that although Stefani has been very busy with her clothing line, new contract with make up company Urban Decay, and her role on The Voice, Stefani has started to complain that “all Gavin does is play tennis and hang out with their former nanny,” since he moved out of their family mansion in Beverly Hills and into his new Bel Air home.

According to Us Weekly, Stefani “isn’t angry with Gavin,” but for over a year, “he was already so removed from the marriage and Gwen.” The Bush front man now lives in a $6.5 million house and has been seen shopping at furniture stores like Cassina, Diva Group, Ligne Roset, and Roche Bobois to outfit the home.

Each of the couple’s three boys has their own room, and they’re “splitting their time between Gwen’s and Gavin’s new house. Gavin’s new house is close to their school and about 20 minutes” from the house Gwen Stefani and the rocker shared, reports Us.

Gwen has thrown herself back into work, which will undoubtedly make up for her divided net worth. Stefani appears on The Voice this season with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams.
