Fans of Britney Spears and time-management games can now combine their two interests. Glu Games Inc. has just announced that it will be developing another celebrity mobile game, this time featuring the Grammy Award-winning singer.
The company has reported that it is partnering with Spears in developing a new game that will feature her voice and likeness. The hardworking Planet Hollywood mainstay also has a creative say on the game's development.
Glu Mobile Inc. is one of the leading developers and publishers of free-to-play mobile games. The company is known for the highly addictive Dash games (Diner Dash, Hotel Dash, Cooking Dash) as well as the Contract Killer and Deer Hunter games.

The time-management game made $1.6 million in its first five days on the market and is the 5th highest grossing app in Apple's virtual store history. Kim's game, which is aimed at teenage girls, lets players create their own wannabe celebrity character who can join and interact with the reality TV star in Hollywood.

Glu has also concluded negotiations with Katy Perry for her own mobile game. No details about the app have been released but it will also include Perry's likeness and voice. Spears' upcoming mobile game is also expected to follow along the same lines, with players able to interact with the singer and experience the glitzy side of the entertainment world.

"I am thrilled to add Grammy Award-winning legend Britney Spears to Glu's growing list of partners as we continue to expand our celebrity gaming platform," Niccolo de Masi, Glu Chairman and CEO, said. "We anticipate the title resonating tremendously with Ms. Spears' nearly 90 million multi-generational social followers around the world."
Glu's chairman is spot-on with those figures.
Ever since Spears arrived on the scene 17 years ago, she has made a name for herself as one of the strongest icons in the music industry. The 33-year-old singer has won numerous awards, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and has sold over 100 million albums around the world. Despite some rough patches in her career, Spears has proven that she has enduring star power, most recently through her critically acclaimed Las Vegas shows.
Glu's success with the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game, and with the news that Britney Spears has also joined their celebrity roster, has pushed the company's stocks up.
