Actress Calista Flockhart, best known for her roles on Ally McBeal and Brothers & Sisters, wasn’t with her husband when the vintage World War II plane he was flying had engine trouble and crashed. Though Ford was alone in the plane, however, Flockhart’s car was reportedly seen at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica where Ford is being treated. Flockhart’s husband is said to be in stable condition and should make a full recovery, according to CNN.
A notoriously private couple, Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford met at the Golden Globe Awards in 2002. They became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2009 and wed in 2010. Flockhart and Ford are considered to be one of Hollywood’s longtime couples, and though they keep their relationship out of the spotlight as much as they can, photos of the couple looking happy together do surface from time to time.
Take for instance the kiss they shared onscreen at a basketball game recently. Instead of attending the Oscars this year, Flockhart and Ford decided to go to an L.A. Lakers game that same night where they were caught on the “kiss cam.” What did the couple do? Kiss, of course!
Well known for his love of flying and not just in his movies, Ford told People back in 2003 wife Calista and son Liam both love to fly as well. Apparently, the family who flies together stays together.
“Calista loves to fly and I’m thrilled because it’s so important to me and it’s the kind of thing that’s so much more fun with somebody who really enjoys it. Liam loves to fly. Calista likes the process, she likes what she sees from the air, she likes seeing me happy. I think a lot of it has to do with that she loves to see me doing something that I love.”
An outpouring of well wishes and support for Flockhart’s husband on Twitter has caused Ford’s name to trend there for most of the day. Once news of Ford’s stable condition spread, so did the Star Wars references and memes.

Recently, Calista was in the news on a happier note. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Calista Flockhart is returning to TV in CBS’s new Supergirl series. Flockhart will play the role of Cat Grant, Kara Zor-El’s media mogul boss.
Do you think Harrison Ford’s plane crash will cause Calista Flockhart to ask him to stop flying?
