What Happened To Erica Melissa Alonso?

The Orange Co. Sheriff’s Dept. is looking for Erica Melissa Alonso, a 26-year-old woman who vanished nearly a week ago after she was out on a Valentine’s Day date with her boyfriend. CBSLA News reports that the couple made friends with another couple the night the woman disappeared, and now police are looking for this mystery couple who her boyfriend says gave them a ride home. Her loved ones are concerned, and her mother has been too distraught to speak to the media on-camera. This disappearance, her loved ones say, is not in the ordinary.

Alonso and her boyfriend reportedly became acquainted with an unidentified couple on Feb. 15 at the Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa, California. At approximately 1:30 a.m., that morning, the couple allegedly offered the missing woman and her boyfriend a ride to her boyfriend’s home. The couple stayed at his home with Alonso until around 3:45 a.m. From here the details get a little shaky, but the boyfriend says that they got into a fight before she “stormed out” of his home. She reportedly took her own vehicle when she left. Authorities have stated that she supposedly left about 10 to 15 minutes before this unidentified couple left the residence.

My News LA reports that the Laguna Hills woman had an on-again-off-again relationship with the boyfriend that she’d been out with the night she disappeared. Media reports have not yet identified the boyfriend, and it is not yet known if he has been given a polygraph test or if he’s been cleared of any involvement with her disappearance. However, it should be noted that Erica Alonso’s loved ones are worried and fear that she could be in danger. She lives with her mother and sister, and does not have a history of disappearing like this. Furthermore, she reportedly never goes long without texting or calling her sister.

Erica Melissa Alonso stands at about 5’3? and approximately 110 lbs — very petite. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. Her disappearance is concerning because there has been absolutely no cellphone or credit card activity on her accounts since she vanished, and police have not yet been able to find this couple that her boyfriend says they hung out with the night she disappeared.
