Britney Spears has proven she’s multi-talented over the years, gaining a large and very loyal fan base with her elaborate stage shows and dance club hits. And while her dancing game is always in control, she gets physical in other ways: namely, by hitting the pool.
“Putting in work in preparation for my tryout for the US Synchronized Swimming team. Rio here I come,” she wrote on Instagram.
No worries, fans, I don’t think she has plans to leave the stage anytime soon. However, Spears says that after having kids, her body definitely went through some changes that weren’t easy to turn around; most moms know that wider hips and ribs just come with the territory. Staying consistent with her exercise routines, she says, helps her combat those changes. One of the ways she stays in shape is with a swim workout, which she filmed earlier this week.
“After I had Jayden, it was real easy for me to get back in shape. But five years later, I started noticing changes in my body. My hips are a bit wider because I’ve had kids. So it was crucial for me to be continuous with my exercise. Consistency is key,” Spears told People Magazine.
Britney had a good year in 2014, with her “Piece Of Me” residency in Las Vegas becoming a huge hit as she began rebuilding her career and her brand. Now, with new beau Charlie Ebersole at her side, she seems happy on social media, and said recently that she would love to have more children in the future. Ebersole has even gotten the approval of Spears’ ex, Kevin Federline, after the two sat down for a heart to heart.
Britney Spears will continue her Las Vegas stage show throughout this year, with several dates already sold out.
