Louis Tomlinson Missed NRJ Awards Due To Sickness
It looks like Louis Tomlinson had to sit out the NRJ Awards while the boys performed. He recently revealed that he couldn’t join the band at the award show due to illness. Tomlinson was missing the awards and that didn’t go unnoticed. Let’s face it; One Direction is not the same when one of the members is missing. We remember how Zayn missed out the band’s recent promotion of their latest album, also because of illness. Things just weren’t the same.
According to PopCrush, 22-year-old Louis recently tweeted fans to inform them that he is too sick to perform with the band and needed to rest for a day. While One Direction traveled to Cannes, France, Tomlinson wrote on Twitter.
“Been sick all night. Still really unwell. Absolutely gutted!!. So sorry to let our fans down at NRJ. : ( sorry : ( hope the lads smash it!!”
MTV first broke news about Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik being caught on camera while smoking cigarettes inside the BBC Music Awards.The boys were probably not aware of the cameras rolling while they prepared backstage. Let’s just say that the boys were having a break and didn’t know that the smoking inside is really not cool. Since Zayn went to France with other boys, we must say that smoking indoors is NOT really the reason why Louis has missed the NRJ Awards.
After all, his mates Niall and Zayn wrote him a get well messages and told him to get better.
Here’s what Tomlinson responded.
“Thanks for all the lovely messages!! I’ve felt sh*t all day but all the get well soon stuff is cool : ) I just gotta get right for the final.”
Really sweet!
Tomlinson’s absence was noticed by his fans, but some of them didn’t take it very well.
One fan wrote on Twitter.
“Cancel the NJR awards. without louis everything is pointless”
The band performed as a foursome and treated the audience to the song “Steal My Girl.” They also won the award for International Duo/Group.
Thankfully, one day of rest was enough for Louis to get well and perform on the season finale of the X Factor UK. One Direction killed it with great performance of “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” from their latest album called Four. Music legend Ronnie Wood, one of the Rolling Stones’ guitarists, joined them on stage and made the whole song even better!
