Michelle Parker’s Ex-Fiancee’s Home Searched, Police Say He’s Not a Suspect

The strange circumstances surrounding the case of missing Florida mom Michelle Parker have captured the attention of the public, and it seems to be a bit more than the standard “missing white woman” syndrome.

The day of her disappearance, Parker filmed an episode of The People’s Court, in which she squabbled with her former fiance over a $5,000 engagement ring. The episode of the show is said to have “humiliated” Parker, as intimate details about the couple’s relationship including allegations of cheating as well as the details of the fight that prompted Parker to throw the ring over a hotel balcony were touched upon during the taping. Still, the missing woman’s mother Yvonne Stewart says her daughter would never voluntarily walk away from her children, and Stewart believes that her daughter is being held against her will:

“I know for a fact right now she is not dead. I know that… Somebody has her…We forgive you. Turn her loose. Don’t let this get any worse than it is for you.”

Stewart implored:

“If anybody has her and you’re holding her hostage, please let her go… Let her come home so she can raise her babies.”

After the taping, Parker handed her twins off to ex-fiance Dale Smith for visitation. Her Hummer was found abandoned the following day in the Millenia area. Stewart says that she does not believe Smith was in any way involved in her daughter’s disappearance:

“He has fully cooperated… They have found absolutely no evidence that there’s any foul play on his part.”

Police say that they believe Parker was the victim of a random crime.
