‘DWTS’: Sadie Robertson Gets Paddled By Mark Ballas, Will Dance With A Woman [Video]

Sadie Robertson recently got paddled by Dancing with the Stars partner Mark Ballas, but don’t worry — the Duck Dynasty star isn’t going to be reenacting Fifty Shades of Grey this Monday.

Sadie Robertson received her little light paddling from Mark Ballas in a more innocent way: during a friendly game of Him or Her. Dancing with the Stars recently shared the YouTube video below that shows contestants being asked various questions. They respond by holding up paddles with the answers “Him,” “Her,” or “Me” to see if their answers match up.

As you can see, Sadie and Mark disagree about who takes more selfies. While arguing over their answers, Ballas starts beating poor Robertson on the arm with his paddle. According to the DWTS pro, Sadie tries to hide her selfie habit by keeping her pics on her phone instead of sharing them on social media. Sadie Robertson has even filled up Mark Ballas’ phone with her selfies.

“Don’t even worry about Instagram — just go through her phone.”

They weren’t the only Dancing with the Stars couple to disagree on their answers. Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd argued about who curses more (by cursing at each other, of course), Derek Hough and Bethany Mota couldn’t agree on who is brainier, Artem Chigvintsev and Lea Thompson accused each other of spending too much time in front of the mirror, and Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy argued about who loses their temper quicker. Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson were the only couple to agree on everything, but they had to negotiate their answers first — Witney admitted that Alfonso is funnier, he confessed that she’s the boss.

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas might not be competitive when it comes to the DWTS version of The Newlywed Game, but the couple is a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor. Ballas and Robertson will follow their well-received contemporary Adam and Eve routine with a jive to “1, 2, 3 Turnaround.” It’s America’s choice week, so viewers were asked to come up with theme ideas for Sadie and Mark’s dance.

One of the most popular ideas on Twitter was a 50s theme, and a few fans suggested that the couple dress up like Danny and Sandy from Grease. This is an excellent idea because Sadie Robertson already has a Sandy costume — she dressed up like the bad girl version of the Grease character for Halloween.

This week, Sadie and Mark will also do a trio dance, and they’re going to try something unusual by adding another woman to their group. Usually the third wheel is the opposite sex of the celebrity, and there’s a good reason for this — the judges and audience might compare Robertson’s performance to the professional female dancer.

In his Hollywood Life blog, Ballas explained why he chose Emma Slater for his trio dance with Sadie Robertson.

“We’ve chosen Emma Slater to work with us because we’re doing the Foxtrot. We were originally going to choose a male for the Foxtrot so we could have Sadie dance with two guys, but the other pro that we wanted was taken. That was such a bummer! But I’m very excited to work with Emma, and it’ll be great for Sadie to learn from a pro female all week.”

Maybe making this daring move will actually pay off for Mark and his partner. Ballas also teased that he and Sadie Robertson will be dancing to one of his “favorite songs of all time” for the trio routine, and he claimed that “everyone’s hearts will melt when they hear it.”

Which Dancing with the Stars performance are you looking forward to more: Mark Ballas and Sadie Robertson’s trio dance or their jive?
