Jessa Duggar Wants To Plan First Kiss: Video Evidence Of Why This Is A Good Idea

Jessa Duggar is nervous about her wedding day kiss, and the 19 Kids & Counting star has a very good reason to fear locking lips with her fiance — her wedding day will be the first time she shares a smooch with Ben Seewald.

The 21-year-old reality show star and her 19-year-old fiance are following their families’ religion-influenced courting rules by saving sex for marriage and their first kiss for their wedding day. Jessa Duggar told ABC News that she’s really excited about her first kiss, but she’s a bit nervous about it being in front of all of her friends and family.

“We’re really looking forward to the first kiss! We’re talking about it — what if we miss or mess up? We’re gonna have to plan this out or something!”

If Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald really want to practice their first kiss before their wedding, they could always wear surgical masks to ensure that their lips don’t actually touch. It would probably also be a good idea for the 19 Kids & Counting star and her future husband to settle on a quick peck or a passionate French kiss beforehand. As viewers have learned from another TLC series, things can get awkward and ugly when virgins save their first kiss for their wedding days.

Hopefully Jessa Duggar didn’t see the Virgin Diaries kiss that went viral. In case you don’t recall, virgins Shanna and Ryan completely flubbed their attempt at a French kiss. It looked like they were trying to eat each other’s faces or like one of them was a bird regurgitating food into the other’s mouth.

Jessa Duggar might not want the 19 Kids & Counting cameras at her wedding after witnessing whatever that was. However, sister Jill Duggar survived waiting until her wedding day to share her first kiss with Derick Dillard, so maybe she can give Jessa a few pointers.

At least Jessa has other wedding worries to keep herself preoccupied with other than her first kiss. She revealed that her ceremony is going to be a “Duggar-sized” affair, which means that there’s lots of seating chart planning to do and party favors to make. She’s also taking a page from her frugal parents by trying to keep the cost of her wedding down, so this means that she’ll be doing a lot of the decorating herself.

“We’re gonna go really simple with a lot of our food and even flowers and that type of stuff. People spend so much on flowers, it’s outrageous! I’ll go to the grocery and buy flowers! I don’t know how many flowers we’ll have in nature if it’s cold outside but I was like, ‘How about we just go pick [some]?'”

Jessa Duggar is also hoping to reuse some of Jill’s wedding decorations. According to Ben Seewald, he and his bride-to-be want to keep the wedding cost as low as possible so that they have more money to spend on their honeymoon. The TLC cameras will be there, so that might help cover some of the cost.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, Jessa and Ben should have a much easier time planning their nuptials and their romantic getaway now that Ben has moved in with the Duggar family. Jessa is understandably thrilled that she’s getting to spend more time with her future husband, and the lovebirds are getting a taste of what life together will be like. However, they’re obviously still not allowed to snuggle up on the couch or sleep in the same room together.

As The Boston Herald reports, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald had to adhere to strict courtship rules before getting engaged, and things didn’t change much after Ben put a ring on it. Their text messages are monitored by their parents; their dates are always chaperoned; and they have a curfew. However, they are enjoying a little more physical contact now. While they were dating, they could only give each other quick side-hugs. Now that they’re engaged, they can finally hold hands.

Do you think Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are crazy to share their first kiss in front of all their relatives?
